There's not much looting. The people starting threads about it aren't really store owners, or concerned citizens.

So if police have the resources to deploy hundreds of officers in riot gear to push protesters out of Lafayette Square or kettle them on downtown streets, why can't they deploy those officers to line up in front of all the businesses that are prone to looting?

Do you show them the young white males breaking windows and stealing, too? Because I've seen plenty of that on the news and on my FB/Twitter feed, all over the country. When you see that, do you think less of white people?

The curfew doesn't stop looting. Police can still arrest looters. Maybe if they aren't busy harassing peaceful protesters, they'll have more personnel to maintain order in shopping areas.

There WAS a curfew on Sunday - 11pm. Did not work to calm things down. The last two nights have been better with a 7pm curfew, but that is really too early and hurts restaurants and cuts protests too early.

Couldn’t Bowser try a 9pm curfew? Why do early or so Late?

I can indeed and I don’t make such sweeping generalizations, not in private conversations and not even behind the safe guise of anonymity on any social media platforms.

Every white person always says they got at least a dozen or more close Black friends who they talk to all the time. Why do you call or text them, or send a Facebook message, whatever, and say, “Hey, are you out there looting?”
Odds are these great Black friends of yours who share the same values and ethics will assure you they aren’t and they denounce such activities... Wouldn’t that serve as a clear indication that it’s not ALL Black people who are causing damage?

Yep, just like previous riots. Anyone who is over 40 isn't suprised by any of this. Everyone I know feels horribly for George Floyd, but the empathy pretty much stops there. This could have been a great cause.
