I see several too-large-age-gap romances in the Kdrama/romance genre. Or both parties are 20. Either way, It’s too bad because I really wanted to find something after Crash Landing. |
Try The King and Heirs (started slow) but then got really really good. |
Will do. Thanks! |
The goblin is really about 939 years old, so anyone they pair him up with will be a big age gap. I'm also watching The King: Eternal Monarch now and as a side note, the main lead is also the same actress that plays the lead in Guardian. It's also written by the same writer. I think it's pretty good so far but I thought Guardian was much better. Has any watched It's Okay Not to Be Okay anymore? It looks pretty good but I haven't watched it yet. |
Korean shows blow. The movies are good though |
I will have to watch the Guardian tonight! Any other recommendations similar to The King: Eternal Monarch? |
Love Korean dramas!
I'm currently watching Stranger. Other dramas that I've liked (in no particular order): Reply 1988 Signal Tunnel Misaeng Pinocchio It's Okay That's Love |
I need some K-drama/romance recs that aren’t silly and juvenile. Along the lines of Crash Landing. |
I finished Crash Landing at midnight last night. I, too, cried like a bitch. My eyes are super puffy for all my zoom calls today. I don’t think I can watch it again anytime soon. I need to recover.
I wasn’t sure I’d like it at first. I only started it because of this thread. The cheesiness was an adjustment. Felt like a tween show at first with the exaggerated faces and dialogue. But as soon as Se-ri met Jeong Hyeok, I was hooked. Such great chemistry and she’s funny as hell. |
I rewatched this over the long weekend and really loved it the second time around. The main couple is great. The soldiers and the rat are really better the second time - when I know each of their stories better. The subplots made more se she too. I’ve started lots of other Korean (and Chinese) series and nothing nothing compares to Crash Landing. If you want warm and fuzzy but not too juvenile, this is it. |
I don't speak Korean, but I have watched the entire series so many times that I've noticed there is at time a disconnect between the actual translation and when I think they are actually saying. But I love the show! |
Agree that it's even better the second time once you know the plot and don't have to spend so much time reading.
Love the soldiers! |
This was the perfect level of heart and story for me. I need a few more series like this one. |
I’m watching Was It Love now on Netflix and it’s pretty good so far. |
I'd also recommend, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? The main leads are in their 30's, it's a romantic comedy but also has a serious story line in there as well. I loved all the side characters as well. |
