Thanks to a DCUM rec.
For a lovely PG-rated love story across the N/S Korean border, this series is worth the effort. Yes, many plot holes and silly towns people and a subplots no one one cares about. In the vein of Grand Hotel, if I had to describe. |
This is on my watchlist. I think I'll bump it to the top. |
I cried like a b!tch and I’m a white straight male |
Love this review. It’s all I need to move Crash Landing up on my queue. |
OP-have you watched Chocolate yet? I loved it! |
Thanks I’ll give it a go. |
Does it have a happy ending. I will only watch if it’s a happy ending. |
**********SPOILER SPOILER************** Probably would have been a "better" show if it had ended one or two teary goodbyes earlier, but swoon-worthy happy ending. Love love love! |
Are you sure about that part? |
New poster - I LOVED Chocolate, one of my favorite series now. Bring lots of tissues when you watch this series. I'll watch Crash Landing onto you soon. |
I tried to start on thread on Chocolate and no one responded ![]() Glad someone else discovered it! I can't bring myself to watch the last episode, I don't want it to end. |
Watch Crash Landing and let's compare. I started Chocolate but need to give it another episode or so. I find it a little hard keeping people and places straight when you need to read every word of dialogue. |
As an aside, to Korean language speakers: I'm curious how the translation was. Overall, I thought the translation seemed very good, but a couple times during important plot dialogue, things were lost in translation. Nothing more glaring than the title in English. |
Crash Landing on You was great. Chocolate was ok. My latest favorite is Itaewon Class!! |
I've watched the Chocolate series 3 times now. I love all the characters (except 1-2 characters). I wish there was a season 2 but most Korean shows only have 1 season. My favorite part of the whole series is that both leads are decent, kind human beings. |
