How soon is too soon to mow the lawn, on a quarantine Sunday?

I enjoy the sound of yard work but I would be happy with a day banning all noise. Hate loud music which is constant on my street.

We don't do lawn stuff or noisy stuff early in the day, but that said, I personally think 8 a.m. for anything on a weekend is fair game. I'd be pissed at 7; but 8, to me, is "slept in" by any definition. If it woke me, I'd start my day with no grumbling.

8 am is ridiculously early. You sound like a really entitled person.

LOL, OK. My dad worked third shift for a long time, so we were an early rising household on the weekends; he was only around in the early morning. So I guess we're early birds. I literally said I don't make any noise personally at that time, but I wouldn't object to my neighbors doing it. OK, buddy.

Local ordinances say 9am.

Always stay within the law, OP.

+1

9 am

I would rather you do it in the AM then like my neighbor who puts on his noise canceling ear muffs and blows each leaf every. Beautiful.evening.

Most people in our neighborhood do it between 9 and 10. Certainly not earlier.

There is no good time really, so any time after 9 is fine.

OMG. You can’t be serious. Nobody cares about your toddlers nap. Get a sound machine.

Dude, lawn mowers are the perfect sound machines.

Typically, our neighbors are at church on Sundays, but I say 8-8:30 is fine. Whatever your local ordinance is (usually 7). Our neighborhood is lawn mower central by 8:30 on Saturdays. Retirees & young families.

10 am, to be polite. 9 am, if you don't care. I cut people some slack if it's 90 degrees out and understand they may need to mow as early as possible.

Ok... what about power washing? Townhouse development, would love to do my deck in the morning. I think 8 is fine on a weekday no?

Get an electric mower and no one will care when you use it. Super quiet.

There's a guy on my nextdoor complaining about lawn mowing on a Saturday, at 6pm.

I think there's no winning. Some time is always going to be bad for someone else out there. You cannot please all the grumps.

8am on a Saturday, 9am on a Sunday.

I have spoken.

Mow it Saturday . Sunday’s are for lounging

What about 8am on a weekday? I'd like to get it done before showering.

Mowers wake you up? Seriously?
