Most definitely! Who cares about basketball these days, yeah right.

Sidwell basketball is awful.

Mic drop!

Sidwell dad trying to look cool with the "mic drop"

When you watch basketball, you probably say, "Hey, that guy can really JAM!"

P.S. Winning a DC title in anything is meaningless.

Sidwell is a crummy athletic school. Amazing nonathletic Sidwell parents are blaming their nonathletic sons losing by 62 points on FH having older kids.

Even it that were true, that kind of excuse making says a lot about Sidwell parents.

Clearly you don’t keep up with basketball in the DMV. Guess which school’s Varsity Team beat St. John’s, DeMatha, Gonzaga, and Wilson last year for the state championship. Do your homework!

Uhhh... I think you want us to say Sidwell, but they definitely didn't beat DeMatha or Gonzaga so I guess we'll all just wait for the correct answer. Not here to bash, but let's work with facts.

Did they beat SJC or Wilson?

Now I really know you are clueless. The talent in DC for high school basketball is some of the best in nation. Most of the athletes play for top AAU team. You must be a parent of kid that plays archery or squash. Now I feel bad for you.

Flint Hill would get demolished in most IAC sports. Demolished.

Why do you say that? FH has won several state championships in football which means at some point they have beaten 2 of the 6 IAC schools at some point. What sports do the other 6 schools have an advantage over FH. The one comes to mind is swimming which is where Prep is strong.

New poster here--the Wilson team that Sidwell beat had four D-1 recruits in their starting lineup. Hardly meaningless.

Josh Hart played for Sidwell before winning a national championship at Villanova and...oh yeah...getting drafted in the 1st round by the Lakers. Saddiq Bey was a 4* recruit for Villanova and last season made the Big East all-Freshman team.

Trying to belittle the Sidwell basketball program just reveals that you've got some kind of larger agenda or bias against the school.

FH had 5 for football last year. UVA, U Penn, James Madison, Wake Forest, NC State. Its on their public website so not exactly a secret.

Josh was brought in as a sophomore ringer in 10th grade, and did so poorly academically that they asked him to transfer out after one year. But the students loved their ringer and petitioned to have him stay, so they waived the normal academic rules and let him stay. And Josh hated being at SFS by the way.

So why are SFS parents so salty about Flint Hill playing some 19yo ringers in football when they're totally OK with the same type of "wins over academics" mentality in the basketball program?
