FH is a crummy academic school


Sidwell is a crummy athletic school. Amazing nonathletic Sidwell parents are blaming their nonathletic sons losing by 62 points on FH having older kids.

Even it that were true, that kind of excuse making says a lot about Sidwell parents.

Actually not true. It may not be a very good football school, but the teams - both boys and girls, across almost all sports, have had tremendous success in recent years. Ultimately, the kids playing the sports are having fun and learning something about themselves, which is the most important thing, right?

Clearly you don’t keep up with basketball in the DMV. Guess which school’s Varsity Team beat St. John’s, DeMatha, Gonzaga, and Wilson last year for the state championship. Do your homework!

Sidwell 3 - Flint Hill 0 Varsity Boys Soccer

Sidwell may not have great football or baseball teams, but most of the other sports are doing well. Boys basketball won dc state last year. Boys track and field also won dc state.

No whining, just stating facts! Continue to harp on football. Season is almost up as then let’s see the level of discussion when basketball starts.

Different PP. The previous poster stated their basketball program was awful but I see they beat Wilson for the state championship. Why are they considered awful? What am I missing.

Uhhh... I think you want us to say Sidwell, but they definitely didn't beat DeMatha or Gonzaga so I guess we'll all just wait for the correct answer. Not here to bash, but let's work with facts.
