Josh was brought in as a sophomore ringer in 10th grade, and did so poorly academically that they asked him to transfer out after one year. But the students loved their ringer and petitioned to have him stay, so they waived the normal academic rules and let him stay. And Josh hated being at SFS by the way.

So why are SFS parents so salty about Flint Hill playing some 19yo ringers in football when they're totally OK with the same type of "wins over academics" mentality in the basketball program?

How do you know? Are you his mother?

Josh said this himself in a publicly published article.

So bitter the flint hill crowd is. What a bunch of loser suburban Haters. Started with hating and ends with resentment and bitterness.

Arguing over the merits of Sidwell athletics is even dumber than arguing whether UVA or Michigan is a better school. Mediocrity is mediocrity.

FH had 5 for football last year. UVA, U Penn, James Madison, Wake Forest, NC State. Its on their public website so not exactly a secret.

Ahhh that’s the point. When you recruit 5 year senior regardless of academic ability to stack your MAC team you get a slew of D1 recruits.

Most definitely! Who cares about basketball these days, yeah right.

Sidwell basketball is awful.

Mic drop!

Sidwell dad trying to look cool with the "mic drop"

When you watch basketball, you probably say, "Hey, that guy can really JAM!"

P.S. Winning a DC title in anything is meaningless.

Now I really know you are clueless. The talent in DC for high school basketball is some of the best in nation. Most of the athletes play for top AAU team. You must be a parent of kid that plays archery or squash. Now I feel bad for you.

No. My child doesn't go to Sidwell (thank God).

The other way to look at this is that he was under-prepared by his previous high school, and worked his tail off to score higher than the NCAA Clearinghouse, and end up being an NCAA Academic All-American.

Did you miss the part where Josh Hart said publicly that he hated Sidwell?

One can have hated their time at Sidwell and still have worked their tail off to eventually become an NCAA Academic All-American.

So you bring in a hired gun who hated the school while simultaneously making up lies about FH in order to explain losing to any school 62-0.

He has certainly been quoted as saying that he hated aspects of his experience at Sidwell. Such as the culture clash that came with being friends with kids who could spend money on things without much thought, whereas his circumstances were much different. But if you are going to continue to say that he hated the school, you should provide some proof. Because that is not consistent with what I have heard, and with demonstrable facts such as his participation in school and alumni events as an NBA player.

I disagree with the premise that Josh Hart was a "hired gun," I haven't made any lies about Flint Hill and don't care about the football score.

CUMULATIVE SCORE FOR SIDWELL'S LAST FOUR GAMES:

14-160

Only win was the first game, against a team mostly of homeschooled kids.

Guess 160-14 makes it kinda hard to blame everything on a few big kids at Flint Hill, huh?
