Anyone know the score of the Sidwell Flint Hill game?

Illegal recruiting.
Reclassifying high school kids, giving them a 5th year
Taking upperclassmen recruits

Tip of the iceburg.

Flint Hill has its aim on the Virginia States each year, the MAC is an afterthought - they get more from the league being associated with Maret and Sidwell than the league gets from them.

Sounds like sour grapes.

Not sour grapes, just different philosophies within the league, where you have most of the teams playing by one set of rules and an outlier, playing by another. So when the outlier spots a 62 in a game that was never going to be even, then coming here to crow about it seems odd. Either Flint Hill should play by the same rules as the rest of the league, or they should leave the league.

When half of Flint Hill's team is comprised of 19-year-olds, it's not really fair...

Welcome to the wonderful world of reclassification. 90% of these kids will never make it to D1 schools or professional leagues. Parents need to focus on academics and not sports if you have to hold your child back to be competitive.

That is the bitter irony and it is more like 99%. Colleges like kids with upside, so taking a full-growth man at 19 over a 17/18 year old who has more room to grow and put on "good" weight is what they are looking for. So the idea that 19 year olds can run/pass/sack/block with abandon against a team like Sidwell, which starts mostly underclassmen (ie 14/15 year olds) is a joke. But sure, if that boosts the confidence and make one feel good about themselves, then so be it. But that isn't how the big time , or even small time, college coaches will see it.

If they were focused on academics, they wouldn't be at Flint Hill in the first place.

Well, but that is just it. A school that uses kids and then sends them to second and third tier colleges is not doing those kids any favors. At least the football kids from Sidwell who continue to play are at ivy's, NESCAC and top D3 schools, the ACC and tippy-top Pac12 schools.

It seems good to me that Flint Hill is teaching the Sidwell kids how to lose. That is a valuable lesson. Not sure why parents on here are so upset about it.

I haven't seen anyone upset about it. It is weird that people keep trolling scores of meaningless high school football games.

Not meant to be. It’s just a fact

LOL. FH has a couple of reclassed kids - nowhere near 50%. But even if the entire team was reclassed kids, how do you explain losing by 60+ points?

LOL.

The Flint Hill loser parents on this thread are pathetic. Football is a dying sport.

Why are Sidwell parents so angry? It’s really astonishing.

Football may be dying, but it's primarily because of the poo-poo efforts of schools like Sidwell.
