Original Justin Hartley poster here. IF my husband and I had a list of the five people you could have sex with without consequences, he'd definitely be on my list. |
| I’m the PP who commented on Hartley’s looks. Thanks to both PPs for making me feel like less of a jerk! |
| You're not a jerk - how can you not focus on his looks? |
| I love that young Kevin was putting cucumbers on his eyes and that contemporary Kevin was offended at the idea of being thought older than he is. Little details like that which flesh out a character over time are so great. |
How is it being celebrated? Fat people exist. This one, Chrissy Metz, is on a television show. You watch the show, so you see her. Does merely looking at her offend you? |
And so much of her story is that she is drowning in her weight. That's hardly celebration. I do hope she loses SOME.weight , I don't care if she isn't hot or any of that crap but she gains the same way I do, all torso with smaller bottom (like most men, or "apple" women) and it's not fair but it's more dangerous when you have that body type |
+1 I caught that too. He’s vain, but he can also laugh at himself. Very self-deprecating. |
|
Speaking of Kevin, he killed it (again) on tonight’s episode. So endearingly funny. Love how he showed up in his own huge RV.
I can’t stand Beth’s mother. Phylicia Rashad seems only able to play haughty, rude women. Not a fan. The actress who plays the young Beth is so beautiful - great casting. |
I am continually amazed by the casting across timeframes. The young Beth is uncannily like the adult Beth. Also agree about Phylicia Rashad. She's the same in every single role I've ever seen her in, and I've gotten kind of tired of her. I'm also coming around to Deja a bit more. I like this less angsty teen. Same with teenage Kate. That was nice to see a happier, even flirty version of teen Kate, and I thought again how perfectly cast she was. She looks exactly like I would expect a teenage Chrissy Metz to look-- the eyes, chin, face shape. I'd love to see a real picture of Chrissy at that age. And once again, Kevin was the reason to tune in. My favorite scene of the whole episode was the selfie with the salesman's wife. He was just incredibly kind and patient in a situation that could easily drive a famous person nuts. Loved the way he made sure she was happy with the photo. |
What! I loved Phylicia Rashad as Mama C! I don't think her other characters are the same - Claire Huxtable was incredibly approachable and warm, IMHO. |
I remember Claire Huxtable having the same officious way of talking as Beth’s mom. The same way of putting down Cliff Huxtable/Randall. I hate that intimidating tone she has. Just be nice - is it really that hard? |
+100 to all! I also like Deja better now and agree about the teenaged Kate. Though I did think the conversation at the record store was absurd - as if anyone is actually going to open up like that to a perfect stranger. I also loved the scene with Kevin taking a selfie with a fan. He’s an incredibly giving and generous person and I think Cassidy noticed that, even though he otherwise annoys the hell out of her. |
And teenage Kevin calling Rebecca and throwing in that he married Sophie was dead-on perfect - exactly the tone of adult Kevin. |
Emmy for Justin! Emmy for Justin!! |
When he was holding the baby as the Manny I think my ovaries were going to explode. |
