Those black semi-tight yoga(?) pants that moms at the playground wear

Buy some premium denim jeans that fit you well and a cute pair of ballet flats and wear that to the playground. You will look WAY better than the moms in yoga pants.

OMG! It's a competition among moms now!

And am I the only one who hates ballet flats? God forbid you should be sporting ballet flats with cankles!

Though it doesn't surprise me given this board, it is ridiculous that so many PPs were offended at my suggestion to wear jeans and ballet flats rather than yoga pants. OP wanted to update her look and I offered a suggestion on how she could do that. I don't care if you wear yoga pants and think jeans are uncomfortable, fine. But if someone asks me how to update their look, I'm going to give them my honest opinion. And in my honest opinion, jeans and flats will look a million times better than yoga pants and are equally as comfortable.

I disagree. If you have a killer body, you'll look GREAT in yoga pants.

But you'd look even better in fashionable jeans.

Yoga pants are way more comfortable than even the best jeans.

I hate those ballet flats too! They look fine on my 5 yr old when she is dressed for a special occasion but not right for an adult. I wear athletic shoes to the park and sometimes even (gasp) run with my kids.

Yes, gap version is really cute.

I even hate them on little girls because they don't stay on their feet well. They are constantly flopping around. I made my DD get some with a strap for that reason. She wasn't thrilled.

You mean you don't stand around, trying to be fashionable in an attempt to outdo the other moms in their yoga pants?

Shame on you, PP, for actually thinking about your kids when you visit the park.

This thread is the reason why I've come to dislike DCUM. Why would such an innocent question such as where to get certain yoga pants devolve into a series of attacks?
Anonymous
Well, all the gasping doesn't help. Moms who prefer not to go about in exercise wear also manage to play and run with their ids.
Anonymous
Kids! But ids might be equally appropriate!

Forgive me if this question was answered in the prior pages, but what shoes to people wear with these yoga pants?
