The Never Trumper, Bill Kristol has spoken! ![]() This is the same guy who played a key role in promoting Sarah Palin as VP nominee for McCain! |
Ah yes, attack those who disagree with Trump. What about this guy who worked for the Trump transition team and is a law professor at the Scalia school who also thinks Trump should be impeached? https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/04/gop-staffer-advocates-trumps-impeachment/587785/ |
LOL. They attacked George Conway as a Never Trumper too. He's married to Kellyanne and voted for Trump. And he also thinks Trump's behavior is worthy of impeachment. |

He has more credibility for sure compared to Kristol - who is a joke. Kristol is a neocon who was one of the chief advocates for invading Iraq. Who are we going to cite next as being opposed to Trump or calling for his impeachment? Kasich? Boot? FWIW, I did not vote for Trump and I think he is a despicable person but impeachment is futile unless it is a bipartisan effort in Congress. The way to deal with Trump is to defeat him in 2020 and not to indulge in idiotic measures that will not go anywhere. |
All these Democrats who think it's such a clever political strategy to NOT impeach Trump are the same people who never in a million years thought Trump would be elected. In other words, they haven't a clue. Lockhart says: "Democrats risk the kind of overreach that doomed the Republicans 20 years ago." Oh, you mean the overreach that got George W. Bush elected? ![]() Lockhart also says: "President Trump should be impeached because he is unfit for the presidency. He represents a clear and present danger to our national security." So you're willing to just let the next almost two years go by with a President who may our greatest danger to national security? Trump no longer has anyone around him who will curb his worst, authoritarian impulses. He and his administration have decided to completely ignore Congress' power of oversight - how soon before he ignores the courts too? And do really think that, even if he does lose the election in 2020, he will leave the White House? |
This is so true! But I’m not so sure about the last line. Why just if he completes his term? When people say that impeachment is political suicide for dems they are comparing it to the Clinton impeachment. That was different. It was a consensual affair. It was a marriage issue, not an American issue. Yes, he lied about it, but that’s pretty minor compared to a day in the life of Trump. The fact that it was such a huge issue at the time should indicate just how far we’ve sunk as a nation. At this point, it’s pretty much impossible to claim that Trump is not a crook who is harming our democracy. If democrats don’t act in this, they will be seen as weak and not doing their job. That would be more politically harmful. |
Unpresidented. Dragging the Supreme Court down with him.

Another one of the numerous instances whereby Trump exposes his absolute ignorance of how our government works and the impeachment process. One legal expert referred to the President's latest comments as "pure idiocy." |

But...but... Gorsuch and Kavanaugh HAVE to stop it! They OWE me! |
It worked with Bill Barr. |
They aren’t going to impeach him. Nor should they. He should lose the next election then be carted off to prison with his loser children. |
LOL. You are all insane. After the Mueller report, there is less of a case than ever for impeachment. How have you all wound yourselves up like this? Every time I read one of these threads I wonder how on Earth there are people walking around with thoughts like these in their heads. Are any of you employed, or do you mostly stay in assisted living facilities? |
And here you are waving away the idiocy of your president saying he would "go to the Supreme Court" if the House decided to start impeachment hearings. To do WHAT, exactly? Why don't you explain your dear leader's stupidity so we can all understand what he and you think will happen by him "going to the Supreme Court"? |
