Impeachment

Impeachment proceedings will be the gift Trump is waiting for. Democrats should not fall into this trap.

Tell us about them. All those "regular Republicans" who think impeachment is appropriate.
Then, tell us about all the Democrats who know impeachment is not appropriate.

You guys are really clueless about how Republicans view these issues. They may not like Trump and they may find him offensive and despicable but when it comes to who should be president, they will hold their noses and vote for him because to them, he is the lesser of the two evils. They will take him over any of the Republican nominees because he is their path to a conservative judiciary. Republicans despise liberal judges even more than they do Trump.

Let's see.

First, it was a recount. Then, it was an invalid election because of the RUSSIANS! Then, there was the hope that he would keel over on his own. There was also the hope that he would resign because the Mueller report would be so bad - remember, he was reported to be the "unindicted coconspirator to at least two felonies." Then, you went to impeachment. Then, the 25th amendment. Now, back to impeachment.

The Democrats have been plotting how to get Trump out of office since before he was inaugurated. Looks like impeachment is your only option at this point. But, here's a dirty little secret, folks. Impeachment will not get him out of office.

So, keep plotting and planning your strategy.

The Democratic party is bereft of ideas which is why they just think attacking Trump is the way to go. Never mind that Hillary tried it and it went nowhere.

Oh, they are not bereft of ideas. Their ideas are bat $hit crazy. Impeachment is a distraction and red meat for their base.

You are right: they offer ideas that are nuts and each one tries to outdo the other with some nutty idea. It really is insane. I had Easter dinner with a couple who are dyed in the wool liberals - they have always voted Democrat and they intend continuing to do so. But they both said the Democrats are doing everything possible to lose the next election against someone who is vulnerable.

The guy who wrote the article is a conservative lawyer. The crucial question is who will he and others like him vote for if the choice is Trump or a liberal Democrat? Most conservatives other than the never Trumpers will vote for Trump.

The fraud party of trickle down economics is the one bereft of ideas. The party has to first figure out how to win a majority of American voters because they have won the popular vote just once in over 30 years. Americans have figured out the con of tax cuts for the rich and immigration demagoguery for the "poorly educated".

In a country with a declining white population. Many trump voters in the boomber and older generation have found permanent residence in the cemetary and the diverse millenial and GenZ voting 65% to dems, the GOP is not in good health. The gen Z is going to increase from 4% of electorate in 2016 to 10% in 2020, an increase of 6%. Meanwhile the Silent and Boomer generation have declined by a similar 6%. So the GOP is facing a double whammy. It loses people who vote 65% replaced by those who vote for the Dems 65%. You may not be good with Math but if I am Liar-in-Chief, I would be shit scared.

From a Republican.
https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/440160-george-conway-case-for-trumps-impeachment-better-than-nixons

In a series of tweets Tuesday morning, attorney George Conway, husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, said President Trump engaged in misconduct “worse than the misconduct that led to Nixon’s resignation.”

Conway linked to a column by The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent that said alleged attempts by Trump to stymie special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation “impeded the inquiry into not just his conduct, but also into the Russian attack on our political system.”

“Exactly right,” Conway, a frequent Trump critic, wrote Tuesday, citing the president’s oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

And I'm tired of being held hostage by idiots like you and your fellow 37% who refuse to see that Trump is an unfit, incompetent crook. Go move to a country with an authoritarian dictatorship because that's apparently where you'd be happiest.

People have a lot of reasons to be Never Trumpers. Conway is a lawyer and he knows his stuff.

I hope Trump doesn't get impeached. He'll be easy to beat in 2020 (absent further Russian meddling with the vote). Damaged goods felon grifter.
