To the Women Who Look at me with Disdain, go to &^$*(

Well said, PP, well said.

I think you might want to look at whether you might be depressed OP. I'm not kidding. I know when I lived in Cleveland -- I felt like hell & looked like hell. You might want to dig deeper into your own feelings. I really don't think people care as much as you think they might. Really -- we're all just trying to move on each day with our own lives w/o worry about what you're wearing.

OP, I'm not sure if you are the lawyer or the doctor, but either way I'm sure you don't have time to even bother with those nasty looks.

I can barely get my hair back in a bun (no brushing) to haul my kid into school before rushing back home to drop off the 1 yr old with the babysitter, quick change and head into work (no makeup, hair hopefully brushed, but definitely not styled!) If I'm really lucky, its a nice morning and I actually throw both kids in the double stroller and run the 2 miles with them to school and I arrive all sweaty and gross. And no, my shorts definitely don't match my top and I'm certain the ratty t-shirt I wear has pit stains.

And sometimes I love the fact that I don't have time for the chit chat at drop off. Granted I do miss a lot of intersting conversations and even important topics. But I'm also not part of all the 8th grade "drama" that has seemed to develop with some of the other other moms at my kid's preschool. I mean, too much free time lends itself to some crazy stuff! Who had a cow because she was "blackballed" out of helping with Garden day or something totally ridiculous like that.

Anyway, don't waste your time. Seriously, you can't honestly care what that woman is thinking! But you will never change her, you can only change your own attitude and totally ignore people like her. If you work and have kids, you don't have time to waste on an idiot like that...life is way too short!
