Nothing good ever comea from years of drinking and smoking. It eventually catches up with you.

I hope he pulls through. Very sad.

I had a massive stroke at 40. Never smoked a day in my life, don’t drink and have no other risk factors. It happens. I wish him the best - it sucks.

Did you have high blood pressure or heart disease?

No, I had a veterbral dissection which caused the stroke. The dissection is typically caused by an injury, high blood pressure, genetic conditions, etc but again, I had none of the indicators. It was a total horrible fluke.

Our good friend had a stroke at 40. He has a pfo (which a ton of people have). It increases your risk of blood clot/stroke.

Has there been any news since yesterday? I’ve seen everything from under observation to in a medically induced coma.

No! And an embarrassingly large part of me is shocked that Cedar Sinai hasn't called me directly to update on Luke's condition.

I'm surprised that there has been absolutely no update on his condition.

Maybe there's been no change. It's nice that Sharon Stone (who also had a big stroke in 2011) made a public statement supporting him.

How long do they usually keep them sedated or in a medically induced coma?

I had forgotten about Sharon Stone's stroke. To look at her now you would never know that it happened. Hopefully the same will hold true for Luke Perry.

I actually came here to see if there was one.

I believe Stone had an aneurysm that caused a stroke. She was lucky - my dad had the same and died.
