Updated: Luke Perry has a stroke -- has now passed away

Oh my gosh, I feel absolutely gutted by this - more than for other celebrities for some reason.

Awww I'm so sad now. RIP Dylan.

I feel like we need some dramatic 90210 music and a clip of him zooming off on a motorcycle so we can all have a 90s style cathartic cry.

I usually don’t believe much TMZ says, and in this case I was definitely hoping they were wrong. But “People” tends to be more cautious about their stories and only post stuff like this when it’s already confirmed. This makes me so sad.

This is a death I just can't comprehend. I feel like there is more to the story. I can't picture Dylan having a massive stroke and dying. How did it happen?

Like so many women my age, I was a little bit in love with him back in the day. He seemed like a decent guy, and 52 is too damn young. So sad.

I’m 36 and he was one of “our” celebs, I think that’s why. My heart skipped a beat when I heard. So sad. He’s gone!

Agree. I didn't really watch the show but everyone else did so I feel like I grew up with him.

Too young.

30+ years of smoking would be a major risk factor. Really horrible.

TMZ is actually pretty accurate.

I always loved bad boy Dylan. He was my type.

Oh my gosh. I feel so sad too. Although I am younger than he was, I still feel of his "generation" so it is sad and scary to me that he is gone so soon!

(And I feel badly for the Dylan McKay/90210 jokes I was having fun making on here last week! But, seriously, those were a fun walk down memory lane. . . ) :*(

This will be the Emmys in memoriam clip for sure. I can't think of any other actors who quite had his cool-aloof-yet-fundamentally-decent persona. He was unique.

Did he smoke for that long? Wonder if he had high blood pressure too and/or diabetes. I hope they share more. Might make some people go get a physical and make some changes who were intitially in denial.
