BRYC Girls TD Larry Best leaving for Washington Spirit

I am curious how this will impact the girls side coaching. We have been with bryc three years and this year has been our least favorite.

Same system as this year: if your team is good and has potential to win and bring notoriety, Mikey will coach it. If not, somebody else will coach it.

The Kid is 25 and coached 3 teams into ECNL National playoffs. I would be surprised if Larry Best does not try to bring him to Spirit... Larry and Mikey put BRYC back on the map.

If he comes over to WS good luck BRYC

Kid plays on 02, the year before Mikey took the team they finished 8th in CCL. Not exactly the team everyone wanted to coach.

Deal is probably already done. WS will dominate this area...

No dog in this fight but I think I can feel the contempt in this post. This dude sure seems to be a polarizing figure.

Mikey is not leaving BRYC. With him being in charge of ECNL and coaching three teams, coupled with his Dad running the boys side, he 's unaccountable to anyone (and given his personality, that's important). The question is how long before he and Daddy decide to associate with Hibernian FC and change the name from BRYC to the Welsh Soccer Club.

So much hatred in one post.

what about at the younger ages? Before the ECNL age groups? That coach seems to be close with Larry too.

Oh okay, gotcha. I’m sorry that your kid got cut

So after conclusively demonstrating you know absolutely nothing about BRYC soccer - not even the name of the two most significant coaches in the club - you decide the appropriate response is to attack my kid's playing ability.

Stay classy.
