This is called alcoholism. And typically it’s due to depression and escapism. You’re boozing nightly to blunt the pain and run away from something. You’re not going to find a friend or solution at the bottom of that wine bottle.

Sometimes people do find friends through drinking (in moderation). Does it have to be all or nothing like the younger crowd suggests?
