Wedding shower - is this tacky???

I would not host a shower for myself and my spouse. That said, my husband asked our friend to host a surprise shower for me at her house. It was for our second baby so DH knew I would never have agreed to it had I known beforehand. Seeing my friends was the best part by far.

My mother hosted my baby shower at her place. My close friends did the decorations and games. It was great, lots of fun, and if anyone was offended then they didn't have to come.

I think your idea is very cute and fun and exciting. Go for it!
