Despite all this, I’m converting to Catholicism

Just noticing this question has not been answered...

Yeah, I don't think we'll be flooded with responses.

I guess, then, we will have to assume there are no responses to be given.

Not me. I’m assuming the Catholics are sick of your never-ending baiting and insults.

An intelligent and thoughtful response to the question would end that instantly. So why don't you provide that?

Of course I am and am part of a group that is. But I don't need to share my information with you since that really isn't the goal of the question. The goal of the question is to yell at Catholics for not doing enough or for just being Catholic.

I’m the “Not me” poster pp is responding to, and I’m also not Catholic. Agree 100% that the goal is to bait Catholics then shout them down. Most of all the goal is to keep up the hateful trolling indefinitely. DCUM’s Catholics have wisely spotted this and have backed out of the room.

Agree that they have but I believe it is because they cannot defend the indefensible.

No, they’re sick of being trolled by the likes of you. Like pp just said.

I do not believe that.

You have zero self-awareness, then. But considering your unfiltered bigotry that’s not surprising.

I still don't believe that.

People made claims that they are "working to change from within". People asked "How are you doing that exactly?" No one responded.

That is bigotry? No, it is not.

Well the Catholic Church has changed a lot over the 2,000+ years so somehow it is, indeed, changing.

It takes a special way of thought for a group and those who support them to systemically abuse children and cover it up and continue to cover it up in the name of Christ to claim victimhood. The lessons of Catholicism have indeed been well planted and tended.

Right -- they make some official changes in the wording of the liturgy, and allow girl servers, but they haven't stopped sexually abusing children. That's an unofficial practice that has continued through the centuries.

Nobody wants to waste time responding to a bigot with an axe to grind. Has no relevance whatsoever on your claim that they’re doing nothing.

Bigotry=extending bad traits to an entire group. That’s you, look in the mirror, bigot.

Bigotry is intolerance of people with different ideas. Extending traits, bad or good to an entire group is stereotyping. Bigotry is used in reference to people who have different ideas not those who violate basic tenets of civilized society. You will find precious few places in this world where the abuse of children and enabling of said abuse is acceptable except within the Catholic church. So while what you are talking about might meet the technical definition it is not the way in which the word is actually used, otherwise you could call people who are intolerant of racists bigots as well.

Like most people who have an indefensible position, you resort to the same ad hominem attack again and again.

It's as ineffective this time as it always has been.

Truth wins, always.

It’s the definition of bigotry, and you fit it to a T with your endless arguments that there’s no such thing as a good Catholic and they’re all complicit. You disgust me. You’re in denial and trying to pass it off as ad hominems, but we all know that to think of you.

Once again: truth is, you’re a bigot.

Lots of people have told you this. (And learn how to use “op. cit.” in a cite, geez).
