Bigotry is used in reference to people who have different ideas not those who violate basic tenets of civilized society. You will find precious few places in this world where the abuse of children and enabling of said abuse is acceptable except within the Catholic church. So while what you are talking about might meet the technical definition it is not the way in which the word is actually used, otherwise you could call people who are intolerant of racists bigots as well.
