Of qll the people for you folks to applaud and laud on this topic, you pick Damon? Way to look the other way.

Nice try at deflecting.

We are actually wondering why Kavanaugh would be flip and disrespectful to US senators—asking them if they ever played quarters, blacked out, or if they drink.

If this guy isn’t shady he would jump at the chance to clear his name with an fbi investigation.

He’s repugnant and doesn’t deserve to serve on the Supreme Court.

So good for SNL for poking fun of a pompous windbag who tears up at recollections of working out with teammates and is obsessed with calendars.

It's a good thing that not everyone thinks like you do. If someone accused me of doing something this horrible and I didn't do it, I'd fight back too. They tried to hang him out to dry because he likes to drink beer. Note, they had no corroborating evidence of a sexual assault. They just wanted to embarrass him about his stupid yearbook and the fact he was a typical high school boy of his time. He's no more repugnant than Cory Booker (who admitted to groping a girl in high school) and the half-insane "ranking member." I cannot wait for him to get confirmed. He stood up to the bullies and now the bullies are out of luck.

Hi, Lindsey Graham! Nice of you to join us.

I thought the most interesting thing was how many lines in the skit were basically, or actually, quotations from the hearing.

Well, no one is suggesting he be put on the Supreme Court. Or put in charge of anything outside of his own household. Silly me—I hold supreme Cout justices to a higher standard for morality and truthfulness than actors. Maybe Kavanaugh should take up acting. He’s got “outraged” and “indignant” down pat—he just needs to work on “caring”, “respectful” and “dignified.”

I wasn't asking if he should be put on the supreme court. This was a question about Damon alone. If you like his act without recognizing his hypocrisy, than what business do you have judging someone else? Why can't you just answer the question on Damon alone?

I am not PP but I will answer the question.

Matt Damon said something stupid about the #metoo movement. Then a week or 2 later he apologized and said he needed to sit back and listen for a while. Looks like he did and then come out in a very clever way to show which side he supports.

If there were "big brains on Brett" he would have admitted to drinking too much and not being the best guy to girls short of sexual assault and it would have gone away, but his elitism and bratty behavior will be the only thing anybody will ever remember about him.

But don't worry girl, the Roy Moore supporters will still confirm him. Maybe he can give Roy a job too.

I don’t care if actors are hypocritical. I do care if judges are hypocritical. I wouldn’t judge Kavanaugh for being a bad actlr, or having bad hair, because that’s not his job. It’s not Matt damon’s job to be sincere and fair minded, so I don’t judge him on those criteria.

That isn't the comparison. The comparison is Damon's skit to Kavenaugh to decide whether Kavenaugh is fit for the Supreme Court. We aren't comparing the two individuals, just the judgement of his actions in his testimony. If you think Damon is insincere and hypocritical, how can you use his assessment through acting to judge Kavenaugh? How can it have any merit?

You are really reaching, or maybe you're just trying to argue, or maybe you don't understand people have different opinions than you do. Also it's Kavanaugh, for God's sake.

Thanks for posting that! She is the best.

+1. Whenever I need a laugh, I go to YouTube and watch interviews of her on Ellen or Late Night or wherever. She is always so funny and likable.

Omg. Spicy. Need to rewatch some of those. Silver lining of Trump fiasco = great material for SNL/late night.

How am I reaching? Damon stated in an interview that is someone tried to spread a rumor about a sexual allegation before a movie came out, he'd spend millions and go scorched earth just to clear his name. That statement says that he'd be belligerent to his attackers. So it brings into question why the SNL skit is even relevant if the actor believes he'd behave the same way himself.

About a week after that comment he apologized and said he needs to sit back and listen instead of running his mouth, which he appears to have been doing... it's possible that he learned something? I get that his apology doesn't fit your argument but it did happen.

the SNL skit was a parody of Judge Kavanaugh‘s job interview for the most prestigious court in our country. Kavanaugh made a fool of himself and Damon played him to a t.

Yeah, I followed the whole controversy about his "me too" comments but did not hear anything like this. Quote and source??
