I really wish they hadn’t gone there. So many women are still feeling really raw from last week’s events, and not everyone is ready to laugh about it yet.

You know what - I really don't care. We are the majority population, if all those women feeling raw hadn't just stood by we wouldn't be in the situation of nominating the subject.

So tough. Stay raw.

Way to blame the victim real compassionate. And who are you referring to as "the majority population"? The majority of women have dealt with at minimum some kind of sexual harassment, and most women probably have dealt with more. Or did you mean Kavanaugh supporters? Majority?? LOL.

Yeah, last week was rough for me, a survivor of multiple sexual assaults. Still thought the sketch was hilarious, though. We need some comic relief.

I thought it was super funny and I was kidnapped and assaulted at age 16 by 2 dudes.

Women are 51% of the U.S. population. THAT'S what I meant by majority. If they'd all stuck it and voted against a man who said on tape that he'd 'grab them by the pussy' maybe, just maybe we wouldn't see a nominee with the same shared values.

Just a thought.

But he's probably so believeable as douchebag Kavanaugh precisely because he and Affleck were the same kind of drunk douchebags at high school parties themselves.

Best line: "I'm going to start at 11, then take it to 15 REAL QUICK!"

I think they were a different kind of drunk douchebag (I had friends that knew them at Harvard), but point taken. He's close enough to the whole scene that he landed it perfectly. Sort of an "it takes one to know one" situation. But, honestly, what is so really astounding about Kavanaugh is his own total lack of self-awareness and his apparent lack of maturation/growth over the past 25 years. That's what makes Damon a more likeable person.

One of my favorites is when he yelled WHAT!!! at the very beginning.

Yeah, I hope the 52% of white women voters who affirmatively chose this President are reflecting on that fact. If, as women, we can't draw a line in the sand and say that this kind of attitude and behavior is unacceptable, what do we expect to get? It is so sad.

It is satire. They take on sensitive issues all the time. Issues that are very important and sensitive for other people. It’s just SNL.

I thought it was hilarious and loved the reference to his "creepy calendars."

Also loved the Samuel L. Jackson/Pulp Fiction mash-up. So clever and funny!!

You are mistaken, that was just a movie called Good Will Hunting, not real life...

Did you bother Googling? Damon was raised in Cambridge and attended Harvard (never graduated bcs like Zuckerberg he found a better opportunity pre-matriculation).

RE Kavanaugh not maturing - I'm not surprised. He's been insulated his whole life. First being protected by parents from charges of assault, then as a lawyer (white collar professional) and judge later - who really is going to take him to task?

I bet this is the first time since passing the bar he's been publicly humiliated ever - hence the tears.

Thanks for posting that! She is the best.

+1. Whenever I need a laugh, I go to YouTube and watch interviews of her on Ellen or Late Night or wherever. She is always so funny and likable.

Does no one care that in an interview he said he'd go scorched earth if the same thing happened to him? How can he be that hypocritical? And how can the American people accept that hypocrisy?

It’s really a brilliant move by Damon.

The most biting line was, “I’m not backing down, you sons of bitches! I don’t know the meaning of the word STOP!”
