More details have been released. He took too much Oxy the night before, woke up knowing something wasn’t right, asked his maid to go to the drugstore and get the Narcan! (you know instead of the obvious call 911).

I can't help but wonder if he didn't call 911 because he has some level of notoriety (as both linked to Bethenny, and Trump/administration, and a business owner) and didn't want it to get out in the press. I really hope that wasn't the case, but why else would he not have called 911? |
I think that is exactly why he didn’t call himself. I can’t believe the maid didn’t though. Unless their was a drugstore on his floor of Trump Tower, in what universe would you think you’d make it back in time to help someone? It’s just like when that Olsen twin found Heath od’ing. Doesn’t call 911, calls his security. Demi Lavato’s friend, finds her od’ing doesn’t call 911, calls her security (who thankfully did call 911). |
That and he lived in Trump Tower. If he maybe lived in any other fancy NYC building he might have gotten away with anonymity. But the press inspects anything going in and out of Trump tower. And an ambulance? Hell, yes they would have found out who was in it. |
Umm Mary Kate Olsen didn't find Heath OD'ing. She was his emergency contact for some insane reason. The masseuse found him already dead, she called Mary Kate, and Mary Kate told her to call the police. 911 wasn't called for a full 30 minutes after the masseuse discovered him. |
Did Mary Kate call 911? |
No. The masseuse did. After 3 back-and-forth calls with MK. |
She is beyond toxic. Everyone forgets. Everyone seems to love Lou now and ignores the horrible things she has said in the past and that her latest breakdown was related to her being outed for stealing from her children. Bethenny is a horrible person. Horrible. |
There is enough coming out about her now that I am slightly sympathetic to her ex. She is a master manipulator and lives her life on screen. She is a master at making other people look evil. She will milk this for everything she can. |
Interesting thought. I take almost no medications myself and I wouldn't have thought about getting Narcan myself. But your reasoning makes sense. I'll have to think about it. |
But Narcan only buys a short amount of extra time. He still would have needed to get himself to a hospital. |
I doubt most people know that. I have a family member that is a paramedic and they said it’s always a fight to get the person to the hospital- even with family members - after they’ve revived people. |
Personally I saw it more as a sign that this type of thing had happened to him before. Just like chest pains - if you get them sometimes then you’d be less likely to call 911 for yourself even if they’re worse than what you’ve had before. It’s like a desensitization. |
I did not know that. Thank you for the info. I wonder how many people use the Narcan and then delay going to the hospital? It is really sad that he didn't call 911 himself since he was with it enough to give the maid directions. Hubris will get you every time. |
If it had happened before why wouldn’t he have had Narcan in his apartment? |
