Bethenny Frankel's on again/off again boyfriend, Dennis Shields found dead

I thought her statement was interesting as well. I wonder if they had been talking about reconciling?

And I definitely agree about Bethenny. I am not a fan of hers but she has so few people she’s close to. This is going to be a terrible loss. And for her daughter too. I’ve read a bunch of articles today discussing how close he was with Bryn.

What does that mean?

I believe this person is implying that Bethenny was somehow involved in his death to further her brand.

Dark thread folks.

Interesting that his assistant even had Narcan to administer.

I carry Narcan. I don't know anyone who uses drugs harder than weed.

Why do you carry it?

New poster here, but I wanted to say that the opioid crisis is so severe in many places in the US that libraries are beginning to keep Narcan on hand, and staff are being trained to administer it.

Disturbing that even the general public now needs to keep narcan in their purse - just in case.

Also it's NOT cheap by any means at $35 a dose. (Compared to say - handing a friend an extra Advil that costs $.05 a dose).

All Montgomery County public schools carry Narcan now. It is not just for someone who is taking drugs. There is a chance that unsuspecting people can overdose by touching some of these drugs.

Dublin, Ireland-based drugmaker Adapt Pharma on March 19, 2018 expanded its program to deliver free supplies of the opioid overdose reversal drug Narcan to high schools and universities nationwide.

Adapt first launched its free Narcan program in April 2017 as a part of a collaboration with the Clinton Foundation. The drugmaker pledged to donate 20,000 cartons of Narcan to 4,726 universities in the U.S.

Unfortunately it seems like the rate of overdoses is increasing. We are in Alexandria and we just received emails from the city that here have been 7 opioid overdoses in 7 days, with one fatality. And the email said that you can get free Narcan from the Department of Health or without prescription by going to local pharmacies. It also said that the Good Samaritan law protects those people who help others.

Thank you for confirming that the email you received is exactly the same as the one discussed on page 3 of this thread.

Oops! Thirty lashes with a wet noodle for me!!! I am so sorry. I am such a sinner! Thank you for pointing out the error of my horrible ways!

Sheesh.

I carry Narcan. I live in an area of Northern Ontario (Canada), with a known opioid issue. Fentanyl contamination is an issue, and people are overdoing accidenTally.

I’ve never even tried weed in my life. A Narcan kit doesn’t take up much space in my purse or bag, and I’m carrying an Epipen for myself anyway. I walk / run a lot, and I’ve had three situations where I’ve had to call 911 or the police already. Why wouldn’t I arm myself with the tools to keep a human being alive, if it’s at no cost, and minimal effort to me?

It is sad when people die.

In her endless battle with Jason over Bryn I have a feeling this situation is going to cause her some trouble. If she knew he was a drug addict exposing her daughter to Dennis on a regular basis is problematic. Also calls into question her own lifestyle. I’m actually a Bethenny fan and I’m sad that Jason is almost certainly about to go down this road.

Yeah, but wouldn't you if you were the other parent? If a regular Dad posted on this board seeking advice about the same situation, I am pretty sure people would be telling the poster to seek full custody and limit the visitation rights of the other parent. Especially if it were addiction to heroin or coke or if the icy addict lived in rural WVa rather than Manhattan. I don't really see the distinction. An addict is not a safe person for any child to be around, and any parent who knowingly exposed their child to this situation shows poor judgement.

Of course but we don’t know all the facts. Maybe he was a novice and overdid it or maybe it was a suicide attempt but he changed his mind. We just don’t know.

A novice who overdosed at 9AM in the morning?

A novice who had his ASSISTANT stand by with Narcan? (Man, the NDA on that contract must be ironclad/also hope his 'wife' is good enough to pay for therapy)

LOL no.
