Learn the difference between mocking a skincare line and diminishing the death of a father, which is what you've done.

So what do you all holier-than-thous think of the fact that she was banging a father and husband? You know - somebody else's husband...for two years.

The wife of Dennis Shields — the sometime boyfriend of “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel — is “heartbroken” over the death of “the love of my life,” she said in a statement.

“We are all heartbroken. Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life,” Jill Shields said. “His spirit lives on in our children. Please respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

You're using this thread to dredge up this old topic?

They were separated before he and Bethenny dated. Separated adults date each other, particularly if the divorce takes a long time.

Also, you're gross.

I have no problem with the timeline of them dating, however can you imagine being his wife for 26 years and then not only is this more in the public eye because of his short-lived attachment to Bethenny, but pretty much every headline has him as "Bethenny Frankel's Boyfriend" or "on-off boyfriend" pretty much discounting those 26 years and children. That must be over the top brutal for her.

New to this story so I don't know the details (although I know who Bethenny Frankel is from watching RHONY back in the day) but if you've left your husband because he's a drug addict, you've already suffered a lot and you know he's going to do other embarrassing horrible stuff. I suspect that she is just grieving and not surprised at any new shocking thing that her ex has brought into her life. Sucks.

Interesting that his assistant even had Narcan to administer.

I carry Narcan. I don't know anyone who uses drugs harder than weed.

Why do you carry it?

New poster here, but I wanted to say that the opioid crisis is so severe in many places in the US that libraries are beginning to keep Narcan on hand, and staff are being trained to administer it.

So glad you don't know the details, but know that's why their marriage ended.

Evidently some pharmacies are dispensing Narcan with every opioid prescription

Almost all medications are meant to be temporary, to help your body find its way again. If you need prescriptions long term, you've got a problem. You need to find another way.

Either you're a complete moron, or you left the word "opiod" out in front of the word prescription. Many drugs are meant to be taken long term, eg Topamax for serizures, Insulin for diabetes, and on and on and on.

I'm aware of that that but the PP made clear she had no associations with those with addictions but noted she carried it (didn't mention carrying it at work). I just found it interesting- she's obviously planning on needing to save someone.

I just got an email from Alexandria city that says,

“Naloxone (Narcan) can save the life of someone who is overdosing, if given in time. It is available without a prescription at all pharmacies. You can also obtain it for free at the Alexandria Health Department's main office (4480 King St.), from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 12:45 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Appointments are not necessary, but may be made by calling 703.746.4888. Anyone who assists a person in need is protected by the Good Samaritan Law from liability while rendering aid.”

Disturbing that even the general public now needs to keep narcan in their purse - just in case.

Also it's NOT cheap by any means at $35 a dose. (Compared to say - handing a friend an extra Advil that costs $.05 a dose).

He was her sacrifice. Watch her brand grow like crazy. You heard it here first.

What does that mean?

I’m no Bethenny fan, but the “well she dated a married man” poster is unhinged.

A father died. It’s sad. Drugs have taken yet another man in his prime. It’s very sad.

That’s it.

She’ll be schilling a book about loss and addiction within two years.

Well Dennis and his wife were separated and she was also dating other men. So, calling him her husband and the love of her life in the press seems a bit disingenuous. I think Bethenny is going to take this incredibly hard.
