They dress well and wear perfect makeup because they take a shit ton of pictures. Thousands. They want them to look Instagram perfect.
I saw this a lot as we traveled through different countries in SE Asia. Lot of women had even hired photographers to follow them around the tourist sites and take pics. The first time I saw this I thought it was some modeling shoot. But then I saw it all over across 4 countries in 5 weeks. They look gorgeous but they get out of the A/C car, walk around and take lots of pics of themselves, then get back into the A/C car. Rinse, repeat. |
The above is not what I’m taking about. I was with these women all day on a tour. It was extremely hot and we waited hours in different lines. This isn’t some picture I’m looking at where someone picked the best of 1000 pics. These were people I looked at all day. |
I lived in Japan and was the frumpiest woman in that country. Women toting three kids and a sack of groceries looked more elegant than I ever will. I think small boobs and being skinny and fit helps a lot. |
Also having little to no body hair makes them perspire less. But they still have other odors from the food they eat. Raw fish, fish stock and tons of seaweed. |
What?! That's crazy but you keep telling yourself that, you stinky crazy lady. |
My IT department is mostly Asian (Indian) and they definitely have a lot of body odor. |
Your response wasn't clear. I didn't know what you meant, but if I had to pick an interpretation, I would have said the same as pp. |
Interesting. I've just moved to a very humid place, and the only makeup that stays on my face is my Asian bb cream. |
So funny (and true). |
Totally agree. I'm half-Chinese with a Indian great-grandfather and I can tell you that the Indian genes are dominant! If I don't slather on deodorant, I will totally stink. Plus, I notice that if I have curry for a meal, my underarms will have a distinctive 'curry' smell. I am also unfortunately very hairy for a woman. |
You’re blaming your stink on your great-grandfather?? What’s your other half? I’m Indian and my parents, sibling and I all have dry earwax, we don’t sweat much. My Indian husband and his parents do not, they do sweat. My kids both have dry ear wax and also don’t sweat much or stink even though they are both in travel sports. My Japanese and Filipino friends are dripping in sweat after we take an exercise class together. I’m actually jealous! I wish I could sweat like them! |
