?? How so; I've seen a lot worse. OP's is a completely accurate observation that I've noticed as well |
Another Asian American here. Pretty much the same, though I didn't know that about the BO. I figured I just couldn't smell myself because it's me. And I used deodorant. |
Nothing discriminatory about it all- except maybe, if you’re stretching to find a problem, discriminatory again non Asians who don’t look as nice. Did a single Asian get offended by this post? |
? But it's complementary. |
sorry, that should have been: complimentary |
We Asians don't talk about it b/c non-Asians don't believe us and make fun of us. I'm not offended by this thread but the well-dressed part doesn't apply to me. I'm a slob. But perhaps b/c I'm an American first and foremost who just happens to be of Asian descent. ![]() |
Hahha I find this thread hilarious. I am Korean born but have lived here my whole life (adopted by white parents). My sister and I (both Korean) have no arm or leg hair and haven't shaved in probably a decade. I very rarely use deodorant because I don't smell. I didn't realize that it was an Asian person thing.
Whats up with this dry ear wax stuff? What type of ear wax do white people have? My kids are half white and I already see a bunch of peach fuzz hair on them. I wonder if they are going to get the white people gene for body hair (I hope not for their sake)! |
When would u use deodorant? |
White people have goopy yellow earwax. |
+1 Educate yourself, OP. And stop trolling. |
That part is true. |
Hey OP, I am an Asian and I will take the compliment on behalf of many of my relatives. As an American, I have very easily adapted to the 'casual' look. It is because most Americans do not frown upon yoga pants and oversized t-shirts and sneakers. I actually get judged more by my mom who is always well turned out and feels that I am not looking very presentable and other Asians (especially the "aunties" - her friends) - will think poorly of me because of that.
Yes, most of us are blessed with even complexions, glossy hair and less body hair. We have less body hair, but our food has a lot of garlic so we have to be aware of that. Finally, Asians also avoid extreme temperatures. They are bundled up in Winter and they will avoid the midday sun during Summer. |
As an American who has lived in Europe for many years, people like you stagger me. Of course some women wear sneakers stylishly in Rome. And in Paris! Why do American tourists INSIST on "seeing" some fantasy of Europe in which "they are so different from us"? You sound so unsophisticated and foolish, PP. |
Don't forget that we are avid sunscreen wearers! I get all these catalogs from Coolibar featuring only white people and im like. ..they're targeting the wrong consumers! |
Read, much? I didn’t say they don’t wear heels in Rome. Someone asked are you in Rome? I answered not in Rome. As in I’m not in Rome. Nice judgment though. |
