A compliment to Asian women who travel

+1

Educate yourself, OP. And stop trolling.

I’m op and I’m educated and not trolling. That doesn’t explain the heels, makeup and clothes. It might explain the hair and the skin but even the beautiful American in our group had no makeup on.

Then move on.

Also a bit racist.

? But it's complementary.

Have you never heard of benevolent prejudice?

Stop looking for a fight. There was nothing superficially positive about what was said. What hostile prejudices do you read into the OP’s post? Gmafb

My Asian husband doesn't stink when he sweats. It makes me horrible envious, because I am half-Asian, and unfortunately this ability has been greatly diluted

However, I can hold my liquor much better. His ears go bright red after half a glass of nothing

Anonymous wrote:Hahha I find this thread hilarious. I am Korean born but have lived here my whole life (adopted by white parents). My sister and I (both Korean) have no arm or leg hair and haven't shaved in probably a decade. I very rarely use deodorant because I don't smell. I didn't realize that it was an Asian person thing.

Whats up with this dry ear wax stuff? What type of ear wax do white people have?

My kids are half white and I already see a bunch of peach fuzz hair on them. I wonder if they are going to get the white people gene for body hair (I hope not for their sake)!

White people have goopy yellow earwax.

My poor 1/4 asian kid has goopy white person earwax but it is dark like asian ear wax. Disgusting!

Haha! The other thing about the asian gene.

Thanks OP.

I was aprehensive when opening this thread, but it has been a really fun thread.

--half asian without the no stink no hair ear wax gene.

It is also my understanding that some brands of makeup (foundation, specifically) you can get in Asia are specifically are designed for the sticky, tropical heat. My Taiwanese-American friend has a separate foundation she uses when she visits Taiwan.

You’re welcome. Today was chilly and rainy. I just left a place where the Asian women were gorgeous. I look like someone dumped water on me.

Americans are typically dumpy looking on holiday....thus one of the reasons for the term "ugly American".

I'm an Asian with a half-Asian kid with the non-Asian earwax and I had to ask how to clean his ears. And he has curly hair, and I took him for a haircut because the only kids' haircut I know how to do is a bowl haircut on straight hair.

Interesting. I've never seen a single well-dressed tourist here in DC. Everyone visiting the DC sites and riding Metro is equally frumpy, regardless of country of origin.

Ah, you must only spend time in DC and not the midwest, west or Texas.

Well, a lot of Asian women simply put a lot of time and effort into looking good. For example, Asian skincare -- a 10 step regime is considered normal.

As others have said, they are also less active on their vacations. You don't see those women in makeup, heels and sun parasols doing anything active.

That's fine but I make other choices. I'm Asian-American and my Asian relatives are horrified by my casual dress and my tanned skin. Sorry, I choose hiking and running around with my kids over keeping my skin pale or my outfits fashionable. Don't want to hike with a sun parasol.
