Do you have any interests that others around you just don't care about?

It's not like, 100% unique or anything but most people I know go to places with a destination or activity in mind whereas I just like to meander and pop in here and there to what looks cool.

Sorry, meant to quote PP. But, what places have you found most intriguing?

When you approach travel this way, anyplace is interesting. Really! I find the coolest stuff- small sculptures in tiny little parks, local art and crafts and homemade edibles (small gas stations are eat for this, they'll have locally made pickled veggies in jars and jellies and cookies and stuff), little docks and benches to sit on and look at things go by. I have been to "impressive" places (India, Venice, blah blah) but just roaming around a town, going where I feel like, exploring it and trying to get a feel for it makes anywhere at all really cool. Everywhere is unique in its own way, you just have to key in to what makes it special.

It is a very interesting topic, but I geek on various aspects of the markets. I would think that foreign policy wonks would be good for international oil markets conversation because any oil discussion implicates geopolitics. But these are fascinating, amazing times for oil, and American oil.

Practically all my enthusiasms are unspoken until encountering somebody whose enthusiasms overlap.

I’m an energy lobbyist and can talk all day about this. There are a bunch of us out there!

Consignment shops where I can buy lightly used very high quality clothes for 20% of the original price. My friends think I'm crazy because we have a lot of money. But to me it's a sport!
