Well, the seniors graduated so I hope they left! FWIW there are no rising seniors, rising juniors or rising sophomores who have left or are going to leave Visitation because of lacrosse. That is too funny to even think about. Good try, though, PP! |
| There is at least one girl who is leaving Visitation because of lacrosse. |
I don't think there are any girls leaving, but there definitely is alot of politics & drama! |
| This is delusional, it’s a fact that most of the players/families can’t stand the Visi coach. And by starting her own club, it will only get worse |
Says who? That is not what I hear from the many girls I know, the girls who play for her at Visi (the ones who actually play not the wannabees). |
| Since PP had to call others on the team "wannabees" I think we know who the more credible poster is. |
+1 My DD plays with a couple girls who left Pride Red 2022 for what seems to be similar reasons. |
| Leaving Visi because of lacrosse can mean any number of things. The girl who scored the winning goal in the BI/SSSAS State Championship game transferred from SSSAS. I know several other girls who've switched schools in the last 2-3 years so it's not uncommon for girls to transfer if they feel they can get more playing time or can compete for a specific position. Visi is fairly intensive academically and competition for a spot of the team will be tough, so I'm curious to see where the player you mention lands as well as any other lax specific transfers. Please report back when the rosters are out. |
| Nah, I couldn’t care less where she ends up. But I bet you’ll be all over it. |
| I'm sorry, but if you don't care why are you posting on this thread? Visi is a top choice for my MS daughter and I assume she'll try out for Panthera so if there's a legitimate issue with coaching or team dynamics, of course I want to know. |
| Panthera will suck. Guaranteed |
| A combo Visi/Pride parent is virtually “all-knowing” and superior to all of you, please stop trying to make sense or lend an opinion. |
| Re-reading the thread, I saw statements made and questions posed. Where's the "all knowing and superior" part? |
| Calling the girls on the team that don't play as much "wannabees" is really awful. If that's the attitude around the team.... |

I think Panthera will fill a much needed void. Capital is awesome, but there's only room for the very top girls. Then, there is a huge gap between them and the other teams that Panthera can fill beautifully.
Metro has some great years and some that are not, but a lot of girls have been there for years, so doesn't seem as great a spot for new girls. Cardinal and Crash are great options for some girls, but not super competitive nationally. Hopefully, Panthera can become that perfect team for the girls who are excellent but don't grab one of the coveted Capital spots. And, Capital is extremely serious and a lot of the fun disappears with everyone vying for notice by recruiters. Maybe Panthera will be able to keep it a tiny bit lighter, be competitive, but a great experience for the girls who mostly won't play D1 lacrosse. |
