New Girls High School Lacrosse Club

Anecdotal evidence is right.

Girls, I was able to look up and verify the Cardinal post quickly just now using a Google search. I don't think you quite grasp the correct definition of the term "anecdotal evidence" since this other post was very quickly and easily verified. As such it is not anecdotal evidence and becomes confirmed as fact.

It is to the credit of the Cardinals that they had two such good placements with their young program. FWIW when you constantly demean others' efforts the look is not good for you and it makes you look insecure and mean spirited.

No skin in the game, just an interested observer.

This is a funny thread since high school coaches are again becoming important with the later recruiting,

+1 Girls lax is quickly following the trend being set in boys lax. It is interesting. I almost think that the strangle-hold by one club team is the driving force for change for girls lax just as it was/is over the past few years for boys lax.

Maybe “anecdotal” was the wrong word. Here’s exactly what I meant: There is no trend there and they were lucky in 2018. And here’s another fact for you: Cardinal is not a “young” program. They’ve been around for years, with very poor recruiting results. A lot of talk with the girls and no action because they lack what most other clubs in this area lack: respected coaches with college connections who know how to get their girls recruited.

On the other hand, maybe now the recruiting and networking connections are beginning to pay off. See how that works?

I don't know if that is the case but I wouldn't sideline Cardinals just cuz. Maybe they (or other coaches / other teams) are reaching their tipping point/s? That's what make the news about Panthera exciting. It is a new option for girls lax in the DMV. Anything that attracts and keeps attracting girls to this wonderful sport can't be all bad and is welcome to the field in my book.

I do agree with a PP that it is short-sighted to not recognize that the trend for girls lax is following that of the boys lax with high school coaches taking a more prominent role in recruiting.

Capital has more than 8 girls recruited to play in the Ivies just in the class of 2019, and significantly more if you add in other top schools like Notre Dame, Georgetown and UVA. And that isn’t a single year thing either.

I don’t see any evidence that high school coaches are becoming more relevant in recruiting.

What does this have to do with the new club? I going to start a new thread - Girls ISL AA lax. Write about this there.

Totally agree. have you seen their website recently? what is going on there? they have no coaches and they have no leadership. panthera is coming in at the right time. players need better options.

Pantene is not the answer, but good for you to keep promoting it.

Sorry autocorrect keeps messing with Panthera.

Website: No politics. No drama. Anyone who has played under the Visitation coach this past year might suggest otherwise. Girls are literally leaving.
