Because we've already paid for it via taxes. It makes no sense for us to have to pay a toll in order to drive the road that we already paid for.

No to mention the neighborhoods and businesses are built right up to the edge. There is literally nowhere to put the entrance/ext points for limited access and there is no land to reroute all the current roads that intersect it that no longer could.

Regarding making the Fairfax County Parkway a toll road: REMINDER you voted for it. Dec 16, 20216 , 2 weeks before Gov McAulliffe left office, he signed the Transportation Bill...embedded was the law that only several NOVA Counties(Fairfax, Prince William, Alexandria area, Arlington area) would pay $1.15 per thousand of house sale when they sold their homes. So now you will pay this to upsize, downsize or leave the area. FACT:The people across from us just left today and it cost them $1800.00 in congestion fee-tax to leave Fairfax county. NOT ALL of Virginia is subject to this cost. You voted for it and supported the Governor with his office. Tolls on the Fairfax County/Springfield-Franconia Parkway is just part of that "transportation help" you want and that legislation. I suspect nightime and COB Friday legislation has come back to reach out to you. The only solution: Leave. We are.

How can they turn this road into a toll road?

Large sections of the FC parkway are mostly residential connections. There are also large sections (through Burke and Fairfax Station for example) that are exclusively local traffic.

Did anyone attend the meeting at Sangster?

The concept they are introducing is to turn it into a toll road from Reston all the way to Fort Belvoir.

They only had 3 meetings, and they announced the dates less than a week before they occurred.

Honestly, this sounds like a done deal without a vote where input does not matter.
