VA turning Fairfax County Pkwy into a toll road???

I reviewed my toll costs, and it turned out that I am paying up to 8 dollars a day for using the FCPW. I hadn't known that!!!! I enter the FCPW at Fox Mill and get off at the Backlick Road exit in Springfield. I return home the same route. Unreal. No one told me about this. My records show that it's been happening at least since 9/2017.

We bought in Glover Park. My house is small and old, but my city services are solid and I love my 15 minute bus commute to the office! Time to pay us, road users. You want that big new construction house in FCO? You gotta pay the piper or go degrade yourself at the slug line.

Are you entering and exiting from the HOT lanes on 95? There are no toll gantries on the FFX Cty Pkwy.

There are no tolls on Fairfax County Parkway. (Please note- all those that are bragging about living inside the beltway.)

There are no tolls on Fairfax County Parkway. (Please note- all those that are bragging about living inside the beltway.)

See the bolded. Can’t be tolls if there’s not a way to collect them.

Once more: FFX County Pkway is NOT a toll road. It is unlikely to be one. There is far too much local traffic on it.

Because money from state taxes, collected from affluent northern Virginians, are siphoned off for services (including roads) in central and southern Virginia. If we kept more of the tax money here, we wouldn't be so starved for funding that we have to "pay again" for local roads already built.

If it’s local traffic why not charge the people using it? That’s the way tolls work. The people who use it pay for it.

Agreed. But they outnumber us so yeah our tax dollars will always go to south/central VA.
