What did you like and dislike about a Disney Cruise?

Goofy tried to grab my a**. I wasn't too thrilled about that.

We’re going on feb. 3 nights, 3 people, whatever the largest veranda suite is - $2500

It will be cold then. That's why it's cheap.

We went in January but you have to do the seven night to get far enough south. Bahamas and castaway cay were freezing.

Even in April the first night is damn chilly on a 7 night. They really haul ass and the wind whips around. I have a picture of me trying to keep my hair from flying ogrr my head LOL

Was it just chilly as you were not in the Bahamas or the entire time? I have done the Baltimore to Bermuda and it was freezing till you got closer to Bermuda and then fine.

Looks like it’s high 70s in Nassau most of this week.

I am not a Disney person and not a cruise person. But I love Disney cruises so much I became a Disney cruise travel agent as a hobby. The most complaints people have are those who go in blind without realistic expectations. These are the tips I always give

7 day sailings feel a lot less rushed and chaotic than 3 or 4...on short cruises everyone is trying to do everything and it’s not fun. This is especially true on 3 day dream cruises.

Pools from 830am- noon or port days only

Adult dinning as much as possible

Go to open houses in kids clubs to get the kids used to it and to get to know the councilors

Magic and wonder feel way less crowded, especially the pools and the beach at castaway

Request certain servers ( if you have a travel agent, ask them for recs... it can totally change your dining experience)

Cruise off peak weeks if at all possible

What are the biggest complaints you hear from people who sail on a 3 night on the dream?

I have done 2 3-nights on the dream. It felt very crowded in the pool area at all times. No one gets off the boat in Nassau.

That it feels frantic - people want to do everything and only have 3 days to do it. Running from the pool, to a princess meet, to a movie to a kids club activity. On longer cruises the same activities are offered 3 or 4 times, so the lines and crowds are more spread out. If it is a families first cruise, they try to do it all and have such a ridged schedule, it’s not at all relaxing or fun.

3 day dream cruises are great for a few days of relaxation after WDW OR if you’ve done several cruises and don’t feel the need to do evwrythjng.

The problem is, a lot of people who don’t know If they will like the cruise, try the3 day dream as a trial...and are often disappointed because of the frantic “ we must have fun and we need to do everything!”

Agree. But when you're paying 1000 bucks per day basically.. you want to do it all and feel like you need to lol

Yep! Exactly. I recommend a 4 or 5 day on the magic and wonder for about the same price if they are trying it out for the first time. Although the dream is a “better” ship. The amount of people, especially in the pools is not fun for anyone. My husband and I do 3 and 4 nights often. But we spend the entire time in the adult areas and adult restaurants. Then the crowds don’t seem to exist

I feel bad for anyone cruising this week. It's cold in Florida. Brrrr. :-/

This is good advice. I wish it was for 8 or 9 days, not 7. Once we got used to the ship, even at 7 days it felt short. I cannot imagine bothering with a 3/4 day, especially at those prices. Adult dine is only ok if you are willing to pay the money, which we weren't and your kids will go to the kids club. Mine would only go for an hour and they wouldn't feed him so they basically kicked him out at meal time (due to allergies) even when we fed him before he went. He'd be there and we'd get a call 30 minutes later to get him as it was meal time. I don't think paying extra for the adult meals is worth it (at least to us).

Late at night is also good for the pools.

I'd be fine with that as I'm not a beach person. One day on our cruise at St. John, we just rented a car and went sight seeing. You don't have to do their excursions which are twice as much and really crowded.
