I am not a Disney person and not a cruise person. But I love Disney cruises so much I became a Disney cruise travel agent as a hobby. The most complaints people have are those who go in blind without realistic expectations. These are the tips I always give 7 day sailings feel a lot less rushed and chaotic than 3 or 4...on short cruises everyone is trying to do everything and it’s not fun. This is especially true on 3 day dream cruises. Pools from 830am- noon or port days only Adult dinning as much as possible Go to open houses in kids clubs to get the kids used to it and to get to know the councilors Magic and wonder feel way less crowded, especially the pools and the beach at castaway Request certain servers ( if you have a travel agent, ask them for recs... it can totally change your dining experience) Cruise off peak weeks if at all possible
This is good advice. I wish it was for 8 or 9 days, not 7. Once we got used to the ship, even at 7 days it felt short. I cannot imagine bothering with a 3/4 day, especially at those prices. Adult dine is only ok if you are willing to pay the money, which we weren't and your kids will go to the kids club. Mine would only go for an hour and they wouldn't feed him so they basically kicked him out at meal time (due to allergies) even when we fed him before he went. He'd be there and we'd get a call 30 minutes later to get him as it was meal time. I don't think paying extra for the adult meals is worth it (at least to us). Late at night is also good for the pools.
