We live in Canada and over half of kids are not circ.

Your sons do not thank you all the time for this. What a dumb thing to say.

I promise they do. When the saw found out their cousins were circumcised, they were horrified. They did thank us for not doing that to them.
I'm not vehemently against it, my DH is circumcised. But we didn't care that much either way so we didn't do it.

When they were three and four?

No, much older, they are 17, 15.

NP here since I'm curious - and they often say - thanks mom for not circumcise for me? I have an 8 yo that's not modest at all but can't imagine him saying that in his teens.

yes they say that
But more often it's " why would his parents circumcisize him. What kind of parents..."
More about the other parents than about thanking us.
I said, " well we thought about it, we almost did.." then they say thank god you didn't.

Hubby is not circed. Only practicing Jewish families and (conservative) Americans families routinely practice this. It's on the way out for progressive families I know. It's otherwise not practiced anywhere. In fact a European woman would probably act surprised to see a circed man. Hubby has no regrets and in fact is thankful that masturbating has been easier his entire life / no lube required. I certainly have no complaints. OP's son as well as all of us should focus less on being like something else and accepting ourselves for what we are and moving forward.

Mine was too at 16.

I have a teanage boy and I HIGHLY doubt he is discussing his contentment with his penis with you, his mom.

In fact, I am going to go out on a limb and say there is no way in hell your teenage boy has told you he is glad he is not circumcised.

I have 2 teenage boys, one circ'ed and one not. Neither of them has ever complained to me about how his penis looks.

Did they care that their penises were different from each others?

They don't seem to.
