Anyone Have a Teenaged Son Unhappy He's Not Circumcised?

The scalpels are sharp and waiting for you". he didn't do anything. He's in his late 20s now and judging by the tiny bit I know about his dating life he's not having any problems.

Like any body thing that might be different (like a big birthmark) kids are going to feel weird about it. No one wants to be different.

I'd explain to him that it used to be standard operating procedure in the US only but it's going out of favor. (Show him statistics). So their are plenty of other guys out there. Also may want to mention that when erect it's very difficult if not impossible to tell the difference between circumcised and not.

Thanks; I've gone over all the stats and why we made that decision. I also told him that any girl who won't have sex with him because of that isn't worth his time, but of course at 17, his main mission in life since he's committed to a college is losing his virginity. I think it will also help when he goes away to college where he may not be one of the only young men not cut.

Tell him hygiene is all that matters. Penises are not identical anyway. They don't all look exactly alike.

They all look the same with a condom on.

No, civilized countries like Canada and in Northern Europe don't circumcise. They have higher life expectancy, lower rates of STDs, and better sex lives than the US.

Incorrect, more stds

Uncircumcised male. I always find the hygiene part amusing. What's the one part of a teenage boy's body that is sure to get attention when taking a shower?

Tell him sex will feel even better because he's uncircumcised. That ought to do it.

Mine was too at 16.

I have a teanage boy and I HIGHLY doubt he is discussing his contentment with his penis with you, his mom.

In fact, I am going to go out on a limb and say there is no way in hell your teenage boy has told you he is glad he is not circumcised.

Statistics related to declining birth rate in Canada and Northern Europe would say otherwise.

At the point that some of these countries have to have government advertising campaigns and programs to encourage its citizens to have sex and procreate...

Declining birthrate could be connected to better access to birth control. Also, as people improve their economic situation, they have fewer kids. Or is India a perfect example for people with great sex lives?

Uncut penises are gross. I don't care what anyone says.

Every one I've ever encountered has had an unpleasant odor associated with it, no matter how clean it was. A guy could literally be right out of a hot tub and I've still been able to smell it. It's a total turn off. It's the same smell a cut guy has the day after sex, if he hasn't washed yet. Gross.

Maybe for the 12 seconds he can last because he's so hypersensitive.

In my experience, circ'd men typically last a lot longer.

You sound like you've seen (and smelled) a lot of dicks. Thanks for sharing.

I have the nose of a bloodhound, and this is not something I've smelled on uncut men unless they needed a shower OR had been with women who had bacterial vaginosis or some other issue that was being passed back and forth. Women don't smell so good either when they need a shower or have bacterial/fungal imbalances.

My sons are uncut, and have never discussed their genitalia with me.

I have 2 teenage boys, one circ'ed and one not. Neither of them has ever complained to me about how his penis looks.

Talk to a teenage girl who has never seen an uncircumcised dick. That's where you will get your answers.

I suppose I have. And I'd say that makes me an expert, then. Far more so than you. And the expert says uncut penises are gross.
