Yuck to Steve. He was my least favorite of the men. |
Big - yes but only for his wallet and high flying lifestyle that was gradually winding down by the second movie. Carrie wanted to bop around town. Big wanted to stay in. To me Big wasn't marriage material and I could see him eventually wanting to leaving NYC.
Aiden - maybe. Carrie was his Big. He seemed like a good guy who would not deliberately hurt his family, but I did wonder if his wife knew about Carrie and his feelings for her. Steve - no, just no. Harry - yes Trey - yes Smith - no Dr. Robert - yes Berger - no |
Why does everyone say Y to Trey. Didn't he have issues in the BR? You mean to say you women would be fine with a man who could only get it off looking at porn? |
Mr. Big -- how fat was his
wallet? |
Trey wasn't perfect but he was wonderful compared to all the guys Carrie dated. Trey was kind, sweet, well educated, successful and came from a good established family. He had issues in the bedroom but it wasn't something a visit to the shrink couldn't finish. Even with children, Charlotte became crazy and hormonal during IVF but eventually he would've come around for that too. He didn't say he never wanted children, just that he was exhausted from IVF. |
NP here. Are you kidding? Trey was uptight, conservative af, impotent, ignored his wife's feelings, let his mother sit next to him while he bathed in the tub like 5 year old, and pretty much had a freezing cold sex appeal. He was the ultimate "good on paper" and terrible to marry husband. |
First PP here.. yes, ITA. But this is how I feel about Big. OK, so in the very end sure, he stepped up. But he was a jerk throughout most of the time. Aidan would've been my choice. The guy was not scared of a serious relationship; he was very handy; he probably had made good money from flipping NY apts; and he was hot. |
This is a fun thread. I haven't thought about this show in a minute but as another poster said now when I see reruns, I pretty much hate all the characters.
Smith and Harry were the total catches, also the hot doctor Robert. I NEVER understood the appeal of Big. He treated Carrie like crap (right up through all of the movies). I was horrified when he stood her up at the altar and then she got back together with him AGAIN. Ugh!! Trey - gross/frigid/boriiiiiiiiing Steve - kind but also a bit of a child and not hot Aidan - needed to grow a set, just looked like he'd be bad in bed lol Berger - the worst!!!!!! insecure, whiny, needy, issues all day Again though, Big. I dated a guy sorta like him around the time of the series and thank my lucky stars I didn't end up with him. The first time he really treated me like crap was the last. Now I'm with my Smith (with a little of that Harry personality too). ![]() |
Big has the reputation of being a jerk, but I think he was fine in the first two seasons. It was Carrie who was totally nuts - stalking his ex wife and mother, and demanding a commitment before he was ready. |
+1 |
Can't remember the character played by Baryshnikov but I kinda liked him |
Oh yeah I totally forgot Aleksander Petrovsky! I did like him too. Sweet, sexy and romantic. Their timing was off. He went to Paris for work and she went with no real plan and then got pissy when she had nothing to do all day. Hahahahahaha! |
Skippy doesn't make anyone's list? |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Skipper!!!! |
+2 Story of my (dating) life. |
