After reading a bit about this organization, I will never believe any stats quoted using the SPLC as the source. It is clear they have an agenda. And, it is NOT to correctly identify hate groups. |
Good one. |
Our nation's bigots are attacking SPLC because they want to be accepted as mainstream. By buying into their messaging, you are enabling them even if you aren't one of them. The Truth: Morris Dees sold a successful business and plowed everything into defeating the Klan, out of pure conscience. He could easily be worth ten times what he is today. His partner in that business was a Christian missionary who founded Habitat for Humanity. You can criticize some of the positions they have taken. But to pretend that SPLC is about enriching Dees is just a disgraceful lie, of which you should be ashamed. |
That's because they're on the SAME side, attacking anyone who leans conservative. "The Atlantic" first exposed the cozy relationship between Democrats and violent Antifa. And "The Atlantic" is a Liberal publication. Kudos to them for their honesty about the alt-leftist Antifa. |
Lots of people start out with all good intentions, but then the wrong people get too much power and things go astray. |
So true. SPLC has jumped the shark. Once upon a time, it did good work. |
This isn't one of those cases. |
Exactly. |
It still does good work. |
It may. But, it should no longer be used as a "respected source". Not when it lists organizations which are not hate groups. That damage goes a long way to outweigh any good work it is doing. |
20 years from now, we are not going to have a problem with the labelling of those groups. |
If you are a lefty and looking to blame your own ineptness its good. |

The problem with labeling non-hate groups as haters. |
Sure, that's why people still give to them, including me. |
Are we all done pretending the SPLC has millions in offshore bank accounts? |
