Meanwhile from the 2016 annual report, the Southern Poverty Law Center invests almost 20 percent ($69 million) of its nearly $320 million endowment fund in offshore equities and other investments. https://www.splcenter.org/sites/default/files/splc_fs_103116.pdf http://www.weeklystandard.com/the-southern-poverty-law-center-has-69-million-parked-overseas/article/2009553 Nothing fuzzy here people - it's called diversification.
How the heck did they get that name? Southern Wealthy Law Center would apparently be more accurate.
Good one.
Our nation's bigots are attacking SPLC because they want to be accepted as mainstream. By buying into their messaging, you are enabling them even if you aren't one of them. The Truth: Morris Dees sold a successful business and plowed everything into defeating the Klan, out of pure conscience. He could easily be worth ten times what he is today. His partner in that business was a Christian missionary who founded Habitat for Humanity. You can criticize some of the positions they have taken. But to pretend that SPLC is about enriching Dees is just a disgraceful lie, of which you should be ashamed.
Lots of people start out with all good intentions, but then the wrong people get too much power and things go astray.
