I bet their marriage was dead years ago and perhaps Jen convinced him to keep up the image for the sake of their kids (until they were older) or for her career. Think about it: her career is far more dependent on the wholesome image than his is, and she was in at least a few movies that dropped during that timeframe (and she played the girl next door mom). He looks annoyed with her in the red carpet photos going years back. I wonder if she was forcing him to stay in a fake marriage for the Hollywood image. I could see him asking for a divorce and she wouldn't give it to him.

He's with a far less attractive woman now, and that speaks volumes. Think: Charles and Camilla. I think he was miserable with Jen and wanted out, but she wouldn't let him go.

You can't force someone to stay in a marriage. If he stayed, he chose to, just like he chose to sleep around.

She's the common denominator in her failed marriages. I don't think she's the sweet girl she wants people to think she is. She seems very concerned about projecting a certain image, controlling her celebrity status, etc.

Scott Foley seems low key, less concerned about celebrity status and appears to be happily married.
