Technically, not a girlfriend, but a mistress, and he hasn't been dating, but cheating on his wife. You are not dating when you are married, you are cheating and an adulterer. You can't be dating and having a girlfriend when married, and he is still married. And honestly criticizing the look of his mistress is ridiculous when Ben Affleck looks like a puffy, overweight, pudgy drunk. At this point she is a catch in the looks department compared to him. Ben Affleck might pretend that he is a loving father, but should show some concern for his three kids and be more discreet. Garner comes off as a saint in this torrid affair, who endured Ben's company for the sake of her kids.

Ultimately, Garner may have done more harm to her kids by tolerating his cheating and drinking for so long. The closer you are to adolescence, the harder the split and rearrangement is for kids. Bennifer II have a daughter same age as my youngest. My divorce was when my kid was an infant. She only knows her dad and I apart. However, she was pretty upset when her dad's new wife filed for divorce last year. JG's kids are old enough now that they might be exposed to the news, social media, and so on. This mess could have been resolved 3 years ago when the oldest was still very young.

Ben is an alcoholic. Knowing what I know about addicts he was probably attracted to her because she enabled/tolerated his alcoholism and Jen did not. Ben and his ugly mistress deserve each other.

I always enjoy Lainey Gossip's take on Affleck and Garner. She is int he camp that Jen rebuilt his image and pushed him over the line for the Oscar. Here is today's column:

Uh, Jen certainly did tolerate his alcoholism. Can't say if she enabled it, as we aren't privy to the reality of their marriage, but she tolerated his alcoholism, gambling, and cheating for years. The divorce only happened because he refused to quit his mistress after four years.
