The Bachelorette 13- Rachel Lindsay

He agreed that she is beautiful, smart and seems fun but said she's not sexy. I love her style and think she has a great face and rocking body. He said he agreed but wouldn't budge on the sex appeal.

She is a little boring. She doesn't have a sense of humor and can be harsh and nerdy.

My thoughts on the next bachelor (or two):
Dean-Too young (though could be a candidate in the future)
Bryan-Too smooth (and a little old), but they could still choose him
Peter-Definitely a candidate! Good looking and emotionally stable.
Will-Potential with a strong BIP performance!
Kenny-Same as Will
Eric-Not enough cross-culture appeal--Mainly attracted to black women, speaks AA English, etc.
Luke Pell--Reported to be dating one of Nick's cast-offs, but could come back!

not the only way. they've chosen bachelors from way back further than before hometowns (looking at you juan pablo). i was just discussing w/a coworker thought that I don't think white america's ready for a black bachelor right after a black bachelorette. (i'm AA btw) i think its ridic that its taken so long to get a black bachelorette.

Watching the hometown dates and wondering if these are their actual homes. Eric's looked like a staged apartment almost and Bryan's has more flowers than I would expect in a real home. They must add flowers and candles. I used to think they filmed in the genuine home but am learning not to trust what you see on TV reality shows.

I feel deeply uncomfortable watching Dean's hometown. This forced interaction with this parent who abandoned him and the show making it seem like it's somehow Dean's fault for not having this relationship with his family.

You don't owe crappy parents a damn thing. Even if they happen to turn into goopy happy feeling hippies after they abandon you.

What the HELL then she sends him home in a full formal rose ceremony????? I am super grossed out

I have a more positive impression of Eric after seeing his hometown part of the show. He's still not in Rachel's league intellectually or emotionally, BUT, he's come through a lot and it is a testament to his character and drive. He started life about 20 miles behind Rachel, and he's come a long way. But, he's still 10 miles behind her. But, I like him more now that I've seen where he comes from and what he opted not to get into.

Practically speaking, it would be very very difficult for Rachel to have a relationship with someone like Eric b/c of her father's job. There could be the appearance of impropriety for a federal judge to be hanging out with known drug dealers and have that in his extended family. The two just don't mix on a family level--- federal judges and drug dealers.

Luke Pell was reportedly "dating" at least 3 of the women from Ben's season. That was one of the reasons they didn't go with him when they went for Nick.

I didn't like Eric for her at first but could totally see her picking him as an antidote to her upbringing. I had a middle class upbringing like Rachel and was always attracted to guys who were smart AND just a little bit thuggish ruggish - not saying it would work out long-term but I can understand her attraction. And plus I love, love, love how much he talks about his emotions and I could definitely see him as a guy that goes overboard with trying to live his life the total opposite of how he was raised. At the same time I can understand her attraction to Bryan - immigrant background, close-knit family hard-working and he seems super romantic. Anyway I think it will be between those two.

I thought it was so messed up that Dean said he was falling in love with her and she said she was too and then she dumped him! Wtf?!?

I agree it was harsh to dump Dean right after he took her to his family which was obviously painful and difficult. She should have spared him the grief and let him go last time. OTOH, hopefully he can be closer to his family, or at least his siblings, if not his dad. He'd make a good bachelor in about 2-3 years after he has time to process his feelings.

I feel really bad for Dean. I have a very eccentric mother and would not want anyone to meet her on a show like this. Took me almost a year to introduce to my DH. I would want to go to my sisters or do a hometown with good friends. I think they exploited his situation.

Are we watching the same show? Peter is completely unstable emotionally and there is no such thing as AA English. If you were tryng to be pc you failed.
