Why do you think Peter screwed up his chances? Because he said he wasn't sure if he was ready for marriage? I was Team Peter earlier but I have to say as much as it seems like Bryan is too smooth, I can actually see the appeal. He is willing to put himself out there without needing Rachel to put out lots of reassurances. He also seems to be focused on her and not the drama in the house or her relationships with other guys. To me that's the difference between the guy that mans up and will ask you on a proper date when he is interested versus the guy that hints, well I might be at this party, were you planning to go, maybe I'll see you there. He isn't committing any of his time and he isn't putting himself out there for rejection. I would like to see Dean as the bachelor over Peter. I think for the first black bachelor, Will would have been the likely candidate. I think if he made it to the final four he would have had a good shot. Not really dating or possibly being attracted to black woman may have hurt his chances, |
| Didn't Will say he went to private school where most of the students were white, similar to Rachel? Wouldn't it make sense if most of the people they interact with are white that a majority of their girlfriends/boyfriends would be white? |
Her body is fine. It's her choice of shoes for walking a dog that is unfortunate. Gonna end up in a cast like the dog. |
| so bored with this season, I don't know why |
I did not take it as he had less attraction towards black females. I interpreted what he was saying as he typically dated white females which seemed to have more to do with his environment than a true preference. I did not think that what he said was offensive at all. I do wonder why Rachel would have taken any offense because she is obviously attracted to white men too. I also think that his description of his affection/passion in his last relationship should not have been a direct reflection on his feelings for Rachel. They were only a few weeks into the show by that point and had not spent a significant amount of time together. I would think if there was that much "passion" immediately that it may not be genuine. However, this is reality television, so who knows what is genuine!! |
I agree and thats too bad. There were a lot of great black guys on this cast. I think Eric is smoking hot, but kind of emotional. I think home town will pull at everyones heart strings, but is he the total package? Not 100% sure. I liked Kenny, Will and Diggy (who was elimintaed a while ago.) |
I am too! I love Rachel and would be her BFF. Maybe its been predictable? I'm not even watching in real time anymore. I just record and watch whenever I can find time. By this point Im ususally all in. |

There's no way Eric will be the next Bachelor. It took them this long to have a black lead, they are not going to do back-to-back seasons with black leads. Wish it wasn't that way, but it is.
A black female -- progressive (and appeals more to the Bachelorette audience vs Bachelor). Two black leads, back-to-back -- you start to lose some of your white Bachelor audience. It will be Dean or Peter, depending on if Peter or Bryan wins. |

Alternatively, I could see them shaking things up and jumping back a season, making Luke Pell the next Bachelor.
And bringing Raven on. Although we'll have to see what happens in Paradise first. I don't read spoilers, so that theory could be totally blown up if Luke is on Paradise. |
Me too. I stopped watching. Also, when I saw them going in the direction of the one guy being a racist and getting into conflict with the black male contestants, I just was so over it. Of course the producers knew they were casting a racist and made it a major storyline. Just ugh. Rachel is charming, intelligent, and generally awesome. |

I also don't think Eric will be the next Bachelor - not the right candidate for various reasons.
Dean has some positives going for him, but similar thing as with Eric, there's a maturity factor that seems lacking there. Bryan - Ultra smooth, experienced; one thing, though at first was somehow charming, he really leans strongly toward Rachel when they're sitting. Comes across as 'too much' somehow. Peter - I like how he has a more serious, slightly restrained/reserved way about him, but has a bit of a monotony to his voice. For past candidates, I was surprised at how I enjoyed the way Kenny spoke. |
| I was a Diggy fan as well. Don't know why she eliminated him so early on. Eric seems fine to me as a bachelor. He can't help that his family is dysfunctional and seems to have turned out pretty well despite his background. He lights up when he gets optimistic about love, but did seem a little cray cray when his name was in other people's mouths. |
| Eric is not smart or rich enough to be the next bachelor - have you listened to the things he says or the way he talks? No way. Dean is on Paradise, so it won't be him. Maybe Peter will be the next Bachelor. I can't be the only one who has been confident since week 1 that Bryan has this in the bag? |
| Does Rachel lack sex appeal? DH was in the vicinity while I was watching and I was giving him her backstory. He agreed that she is beautiful, smart and seems fun but said she's not sexy. I love her style and think she has a great face and rocking body. He said he agreed but wouldn't budge on the sex appeal. |
Thanks for spoiling it for us about Dean. If Rachel thought Eric was the best of all the black guys, then who cares how rich or smart he is. Bryan is slimey and almost like a con artist. He's desperate and only cares about Rachel's looks because he didn't get to know her before making it physical. |
