It's also remarkable just how immediate people jump to the "they must be mentally ill" line, when a white person does or says something out of convention. Yet... the people making this claim are also regularly of the "personal responsibility" camp. Most of the time, when people are jerks, it's because they choose to be so. They are in control of their behavior. A bit less than half the country is not all mentally ill - being a jerk and ignoring facts is a choice.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is legit.
1. It seems unusual that the blonde woman hasn't been identified yet.
2. The video was originally shared by a comedian who makes it clear that he wants to be credited as the original source (driving immense traffic to his FB page).
3. Th woman who took the video isn't giving any interviews or identifying herself.
4. No news sources have been able to confirm the story with anyone other than the comedian.
I don't doubt whatsoever that this kind of stuff happens every day and I don't fault the woman who took the video for not wanting the attention, but all these things combined don't add up to me.

This whole thing is weird... I'm white and I don't doubt for one second what is happening here---however, we are missing the first piece that led up to whatever happened. Either there was a) some sort of altercation that had the woman acting out and revealing her racist thoughts in anger or b) she is mentally insane, spewing racist horrible things like some kind of psycho at random people in line. Because it IS NOT NORMAL to act like that.

Man. The level of denial by white people about obviously provable facts is astounding, once they have the benefit of anonymity.
