What's your preferred style? A well designed house has good flow, is made out of the best or most sensible materials you can get, and isn't a pastiche of styles with random crap thrown in. I would add that the well designed house doesn't have useless features like two story living rooms or esxcessive square feet, but that's me. 3,000-4,000 and up always seem so.... unnecessary. And even with massive square footage there are always small rooms that are terribly tiny. Isn't believe in feng shui, but that's kind of the idea. |
Pure babble. Do you not have a real outlet for your opinions where people take you seriously? It's just sad to see you pontificate to random strangers in this manner. |
Um, she was answering a question. What's your purpose here, exactly? |
Sorry you didn't think you needed an architect. |
The best thing about a designed house is that when you die in it nobody notices because they are overwhelmed by the design. I've heard they can't even smell your decomposing corpse due to their senses being so thrilled with their surroundings. |
+1 for a good chuckle |
To shine a light on the faux sophistication of PP. |
NP. We are here on the real estate board discussing design and style of homes. If that's not interesting to you, move on. There are plenty of other posts for you to go troll. If you can't contribute to "what's a well-designed home?" then stfu. |
STFU yourself. The topic of this thread isn't what you just said, asshole. |
| Ive been in some homes of 4000 sq ft that felt hollow/empty/cold but have also been in 10,000 sq ft home which felt homely, warm, comfortable. It's not always the size, rather the inside floor plan/flow, room dimensions, window placement, kitchen/bath/closet details, and the furnishing. No matter how large a home, it must have some cozy spots where one can feel comfortable, not worry about making a mess, etc, etc. |
