So - if this fakery was the product of a subredit and spread maliciously - can't someone libel these folks? I would contribute to a go fund me campaign for it. The folks spreading lies like this are the same folks who target other individuals. They are not one off, they are an industy and make money on it. How? It's being spread through anonymous people on the internet. I'm glad the Washington Post took away the comments section for that article. There were quite a few people claiming Pizza Gate is real and posting links to images of children.

I think it's okay to not try to find common ground with 'the other side' at this point. Both NSA appointee-to-be Flynn and his son have tweeted this made-up story -- and Flynn is one of Trump's less controversial appointments. But there will be no coming around to having supposedly rational adults in Trump's administration show scorn for this kind of hate mongering.
