FFS, in the Sandusky case people *literally saw with their own eyes* him raping children and did nothing. That has absolutely zero overlap with what is happening here: a bizarre, possibly politically motivated, internet-mediated conspiracy theory with the foreseeable result of triggering a likely mentally unstable person towards violence.

The PizzaGate conspiracy theory is not actually "fake news". It's origin was in the r/The_Donald subreddit, before moving to r/pizzagate. It was entirely concocted in the fever swamp of Trump supporters. Incidentally, this forum got a lot of traffic from r/The_Donald which probably explains some of the crazy threads we've been getting. There were a number of attempts to spread the r/pizzagate trash to DCUM, but I removed them. Subsequently, I was identified as a Comet Ping Pong "client' on Twitter. Since I have eaten at Comet many times, I guess I must plead guilty.
