I appreciate everyone's comments, and I did not realize it would be so poorly received!
A couple things:
1. We are high income with some generational wealth as well so I'm not concerned so much about resume issues and being mistaken for a stripper.

2. Our current circle of friends include babies named Olive, Poppy, Aster, 4 Violets, Green, January, Opal and Pippy, real name Persephone. I can't believe DCUM is in uproar about Cinnamon aka Cindy, but maybe we have really "out there" friends and everyone hates their kids names

All much more normal than cinnamon, except for green. Seriously, the kid's name is green?

Cindy is super cute and due for a comeback.

Cinnamon is a lovely name. But, since it doesn't sound good with "Larla," I think you should choose a different one. Sorry.

Does your generational wealth and high income not include enough of an education to understand the issue?

Guess not.

Maybe she got a crocodile in math.

Strangely, I know 3 people named Cinnamon - but they are all 30+. I had no idea that was a name until about 5 years ago.

So Green and January are ok, Cinnamon is not?

Nice try PP, but everyone knows the nn for Saffron is Saffy.

Anyway, I am not sure if OP is a troll or not, but either way, I like it!

Currently I am one of three women in my office with the same name and I hate it. Don't listen to the other posters, your kid will be just fine.

Stripper name. Seriously. Don't do it

OP I've always thought Pepper would be a cute name. I'd like it more as a nickname for Penelope or something. If you like Ginger and Cinnamon, it might be your taste!

FWIW, if I met a baby named Ginger or Pepper, id think it was cute and unusual. Cinnamon seems less like a name to me and I'd find it a bit odd.

Lucinda nn Cindy would fit in with your friends' names.
