I like "out of the ordinary" names and really like how Cinnamon flows with our 1 syllable last name (Smith, Jones type name). I like how earthy, natural sounding Cinnamon is, and how it's not the typical Sage, Violet, that is so trendy now.
Is Cindy too much of a stretch from Cinnamon? DH has a grandmother named Cynthia he would love to honor. |
| Cinnamon Troll. Yes, sounds nice! |
|
Terrible.
Sienna? Celine? Carmen? |
|
Are you for real OP?
She will be made fun of, ot is a ridiculous name. |
| Please don't. There has to be a better middle ground. |
|
I'll just do this whole thread so we don't actually have to do it.
"Ugh, OP, no, that's AWFUL!" "ignore PP, OP. DCUM hates all unusual names that aren't Henry or Katherine." "Don't do that to your poor kid, OP!" There will be 6 pages of this thread, about 10 posts a page. Fifty-six posters will say don't do it, four will say go for it." For the record, I'm in the HELL NO camp. |
| It's cute. I had a bunny named Cinnamon. |
I forgot that 13 posters will say this is a stripper name. |
|
sounds like a name for a cat
|
| Just no. |
| Name her Cynthia in honor of the grandmother, then use Cinnamon as the nickname. |
Much better choice. If you must, use Cinnamon as the middle name. |
|
I guess I don't get who gets to decide what flowers and spices/herbs are ok and what is not?
Sage is fine but Cinnamon is not? Lily, Rose, and now Violet is fine but not Cinnamon? Olive is trending now too? Really Olive is ok but not Cinnamon Honestly we hear awful names all the time, and now with 10,000 Violets running around I can't imagine how Cinnamon won't blend right in |
| I'm not one to be conservative with names and I never ever post this, but this is a stripper (stage) name. Don't do it OP |
| Wasn't that the name of Salt and Pepper's baby on "Blue's Clues"? |
