My damn neighbor was grilling steaks last night. Making my house smell like perfectly cooked steaks because it was beautiful out so my windows were open.

Ban steaks on the grill because now my house smells like steak And all I can afford is chicken

Hey maybe Trump will latch onto this!

Also hate smokers.

To a PP who asked, no, pot doesn't bother me. I think it smells good, although I don't indulge myself.

Smoking is awesome. Love it--as PP above said it is SO good with coffee, great way to relax and talk to people over a drink. And yes it's cool. But all of that pales in comparison to pissing off lunatics like the OP of this thread... I love that it makes you so angry! Unfortunately yes it's bad for you so I only end up smoking once or twice a month.

I read a study that linked mental illness with the desire to smoke. I think it definitely applies in this situation.

Whiny nonsmokers who go out of their way to express their smoker hate are a trillion times worse than smokers. I bet OP and many of the PPs are the type who blatantly walk into a smoke cloud off to the way side of a building just to make a phony exaggerated gag.

Love, a nonsmoker

I don't, but my 10 year old does. I'll be sure to join him next time. I'm not sure if the gag is from the smoke or how ugly you look with smoke pouring out of your wrinkled face.

Yes, sure, because the smell of steak can totally give you cancer, emphysema, and heart disease.

So you're going to encourage your child's obnoxious behavior? Stellar parenting.

To annoy and shame smokers? I'm ok with that

eh, he is going to come across as a whiny, histrionic drama queen. Going out of your way to walk into smoke clouds and "react" is lame. I'm not telling you how to raise your kid and I don't particularly like cigarette smoke (it stinks) but if the smoker is outside it is really not that hard to walk away from them and their smoke cloud.

Signed - a former smoker who really can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke either.

A decent person would use this as motivation to err on the side of compassion instead of judgment when he or she sees someone smoking, not to attack other poster.

Anonymous wrote:I grew up with cigarette smoke. Actually worse - my father smoked cigars. As I got older, I found that almost everyone at work smoked. If I complained, I was viewed as a whiner. Eventually, cigarette smoke was banned in public buildings, but lots of people still smoked. Eventually, I started to have a hard time breathing, and would routinely lose my voice around cigarette smoke. Again, this was viewed as my problem. Cigarette smoke is more than a nuisance for a lot of us. In my experience, smokers are some of the most selfish people that I've ever met. Thank God most people don't smoke anymore (at least around here).

Kind of like entitled dog owners!

Nope sorry. My dog isn't giving you cancer or harming you in any way. He doesn't even smell bad.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror the next time you feel the need to shame someone.
